Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Kingdombreakfast was ok-ish, but orange juice tasted like it was concentrated and someone had forgotten to dilute it. only had breakfast one day as didn't feel it was value for money room was quite cramped - nowhere to sit and read a book (other than on the bed which isn't ideal) beds reasonably comfortable nowhere to put clothes - need some storage space so can unpack suitcase: not good when staying for several nights
it was clean. nothing else comes to mind that was particularly good. in general things were acceptable but plenty of room for improvement

Staff very friendly, we stayed for the weekend to celebrate my son’s birthday and they decorated one of the room with balloons and a message. Easy access to restaurants and town centre. Only downside not enough storage for clothes and clothes and shoes.

United KingdomNot a great view from the room (looks out onto another building) and the room/bathroom were a bit small. We also had crackly plastic mattress protectors on our twin beds that weren’t comfortable and became quite hot.
Fun atmosphere, we loved the spinning wheel upon arrivals. Great charging ports in the room and very quiet. Staff were super friendly and the aircon was brilliant.

I really liked the cool vibe of the reception/lounge/bar area - plenty of space to sit for a drink and some food. I had a Sri Lankan vegetable curry for dinner, which was excellent. The room was well appointed, the bed comfortable. Most importantly, the staff were really friendly and helpful.
