Very discreet front door. Staff, when I first entered, were fairly rude and uninspired, after that I never saw any staff. I slept okay until a couple of guys came if with flashlights on and slamming the doors! I guess that’s to be expected with a hostel though.

Great location, minutes away from the stadium and right in the centre of the life of the city. Free hot drinks and other things! Some good facilities to accommodate travellers!

Mattress was uncomfortable and could have done with a vacuum underneath (I lost my glasses or i wouldn't have looked there!) Kitchen area wasn't open before 10.

Brilliant location, right in middle of town. Minutes walk from the stadium. I liked the idea of the bunks being curtained off for your own little area. Light and socket in bunk . Friendly helpful staff. Bathroom was clean and adequate.

There is NO central WiFi, any signal is through the phone of a staff member. If they are gone. WiFi gone. Not good enough in 2024. Located in central Cardiff so noisy at times. Very small common area

It was really loud, they forget to change the bedding and I felt every spring of the mattress

Hair was blocking the drain in the shower room and the water did not flow easily.

A male staff was gentle and helped me in many ways, including carryimg my large suitcase upstairs.

Kitchen not open until 10am, checkout time, so no opportunity to make some toast or a cup of tea before leaving.

It was friendly and clean. Location was good. Hot water for tea always available, although not always cups. I know to bring a reusable cup next time.

Very inconsiderate room mate who's phone rang throughout night. Room was stifling hot due to room-mate having heater running all night, meaning I had to sleep with window open. Unusually, the mattress was very uncomfortable, so had to sleep on top of duvets. Very badly bitten by insects / bug during night. Contacted hostel, but didn't seem interested.

Kitchen was small and dirty, sofas and tv in reception area, grumpy staff member when asking to retrieve my food from kitchen when checking out at 7am in the morning (staff not available until 10am)

Great location, basic but what you expect from a inexpensive hostel, good sized beds that you can close with a curtain for real privacy, and a good sized under bed locker.

Ladders into upper bunks can be awkward to use with mobility issues as very steep. Sleep disrupted by very noise guests on same floor (expect l on weekends). Had to walk to different floor in morning to access shower / toilet as those on my floor were rendered unusable by drunken guests Sadly, couldn't get hot water in shower either.

Stayed on a busy Saturday night, In 4 bed dorm on upper floor. Due to later check in, only upper bunk available. Room was clean and quiet with comfortable mattress and clean bedding. Wonderful staff as usual Free tea, coffee and hot chocolate available 24/7 in reception. Toilet and separate shower room were spotless on arrival.

Front facing room, so some noise from street. Refurbishment works taking place, so whole hostel had strong paint/ chemical smell.

Clean comfortable bed in 6 bed dorm. (Room 8). Very quiet room mates. Plenty of hot water..

The shower pours very small amount of water. Bedding had very strong smell either it’s a chemical or laundry soap.

They don’t provide breakfast but they have a good kitchen to prepare food and etc

i got my key from the bar staff but had no idea where to go or what room i would be in. i contacted the property and nobody answered so i had to go room to room trying my key until finally one of the doors opened. i contacted the staff a couple more times but never got an answer. when i went down for breakfast at the time i chose when i checked in, i was told i missed breakfast and didn’t get anything which was upsetting. a lady from the bar gave me some fruit tho which was nice

The room I got didn't really match the pictures and it didn't have a locker as advertised. Also the kitchen not being in use after 10 pm was a bit of a surprise.

The location was great at the city center.
