Nothing to dislike

Lovely large room, excellent quality bedding & towels, supersized bed, great bathroom/shower, sitting area with easy chairs, excellent dinner menu with wonderfully presented food as was breakfast, great wine menu, lovely lovely friendly staff, helpful, professional, you have the impression nothing is too much trouble. Lovely views over Cardiff and well kept gardens and grounds, Fantastic stay - will certainly book for next Cardiff visit.

We will not be using Booking.com again we will book direct with the hotel. This is due to a scam email relating to Whats App which I am not on, being 79 years old this is the last thing I need. I am not on any social media sites.

Our room had the smell of what seemed like burning plastic. We were told that it was probably coming from the walls as the building is quite old.

The location is just wonderful. It looks out towards the city of Cardiff. The staff were very friendly.

Such a cozy and comfortable hotel, the views are incredible and the location is peaceful. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive, our meal was amazing and we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the place and the fireplace in the lounge area. The room was clean and very comfortable. We shall definitely book again.

We had a lovely room with a four-poster bed and a balcony.

The corridor doors were wedged open (As there was a wedding event taking place) which meant the corridors were cold in the evening.

Room was clean and spacious with nice shower. Breakfast was excellent, one of the better I have had at a Hotel and staff were also able to provide Gluten Free toast. The view over Cardiff was great.

A beautifully elegant hotel. Peaceful location. Excellent staff, especially the gentleman who served us our breakfast, a polite and friendly young man. A great breakfast too.

Our stay was great nice room with a view and very clean the only thing that let us down was the breakfast. You had to stand and wait for while your breakfast went cold and we found it very dry.

I thought might time staff could have been a bit more helpful on arrival as two small children and initially told us where room was had to ask to show us as I was hold smal child unable to open doors etc and was late at night due to attending my daughters wedding close by

Nothing in particular - simplify the menu to focus on wonderful ingredients rather than trying too hard.

Stunning location and you just can't stop looking out at the vista. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole place had an atmosphere of welcome. The food was good enough; with a little extra effort, it could be excellent (it was a bit over-complicated and trying too hard). Will visit again.

This is churlish as it probably can't be helped and No fault of the staff. But be aware if there is a wedding on then like us you could be woken at unsociable hours because unfortunately we live in times when other people have No respect for others! So very rowdy around midnight, then again at 6am with doors slamming and very vocal young ladies (I believe to be the bridesmaids).

Superb hotel, splendid decor, our room was very big, comfy. The grounds are very well kept, amazing views from the front of Cardiff in the distance. On the doorstep are plenty of places to hike/walk. We had an issue with our radiator in the room, and woke us up really early. Reported it to reception, it got sorted immediately.
