The hosts Heather and Frank were extremely welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had lovely interesting chats over a superb cooked breakfast each morning. Our room was huge, quiet and beautifully decorated with a very large comfortable bed. We also liked the shower and tea and coffee making facilities in our room. The location was perfect for us as we attended a family wedding within walking distance. We also visited the local pub for dinner which has a stunning beer garden and is only 5 minutes walk away.

We were greeted like friends and made to feel very comfortable and welcome. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. We were told to make ourselves at home and could even have sat in the stunning garden. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was to much trouble.Will recommend to family and friends. Thankyou for such a relaxing stay.

The tv in our room only had reception for BBC 1 and 2. We're not too bothered about tv on our holiday, but it would have been better if we had more channels to choose from. We did have great WiFi, so we were happy enough.

Very large room with plenty of space for our dogs and their crate. Nice shower room. All beautifully clean. Hosts Heather and Frank were lovely. Very welcoming, helpful and accommodating.

Off road, safe parking in front of Oaklodge was brilliant. The venue is set back further from the road than most over houses. View from our bedroom over fields & back garden felt like we had truly escaped Medway Towns. Our hosts were extremely accommodating. Every morning we had a cooked breakfast which was lovely. Enjoyed a comfortable relaxed chat with Heather & Frank that felt like they had been lifelong friends of ours. With our final night, decided to get a curry takeaway which I collected. We checked if this was fine & also if we needed to eat downstairs where breakfast was eaten or could eat back in bedroom. They said bedroom for our Indian was OK. We were kindly offered dinner with them when i mentioned about paying for a takeaway & going to Horncastle for collecting which is over 5 miles away., It had nearly cooked and they said their was more than enough for 4 people. The local food businesses for Spilsby all seem to follow the same pattern. Being closed on Mondays. Was determined for Indian on this night though. Meant a lot their invitation of sitting down to eat with them. A personal touch you cannot replicate at bigger places with a nationwide presence over the UK. Something else which showed a considerable amount of understanding & forgiveness was when we awoke the next day to see our messy aftermath from eating the night before. Indian sauce stains blotched on the duvet cover. No amount of cleaning could remove these,only fade it. They were relatively small but even so our guilt for doing this meant owning up. We did so after breakfast to Frank before departing. He was calm & perfectly fine about this. Insisting it will come out with a special removal spray. We offered to pay for a new duvet cover if necessary. Frank said it wasn't a big deal & that they've had worse from carpet stains in the past. We will definitely return again to Oaklodge with the stay we had.

Both my son and I were impressed with the size of the family room and the neat kitchen situated downstairs. The place was perfectly clean and the owners were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this diamond of a place to stay to anyone visiting the Lincolnshire wolds.

As soon as you walk in you are welcomed with a really friendly greeting from Heather and Frank. The entrance is bright and colourful and very clean. Our room was huge and beautifully decorated. Bed was supersized and very comfortable. Nice little touches of handmade soaps, everything is finished to a high standard. En-suite is the size of a standard bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to how you wish. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking in this area.

Heather and Frank are lovely host, very welcoming. We had the deluxe family room which was excellent for our needs, full sized kitchen and a studio apartment with en suite, very pet friendly. The local pub was the same very welcoming with nice food.

The suite was self-catering. There were supplies for breakfast, eggs, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, milk, orange juice, bread, butter, milk in the fridge. There were treats e.g. mince pies, small Christmas cake. All lovely touches. Bedroom very large, and beds comfy. Towels best I've ever used away from home.

As lovely as the room was the shower area overflowed and kept making the bathroom area quite wet and slippy. And it did feel a little small for the value but nothing major overall.

Lovely room. Great breakfast provided by the nearby pub. Ordered from reception either to eat at the pub or brought to your room. Lovely service. Stayed for a wedding and the grounds are beautiful too.

Arrived as Guests; left as Friends 😊 Heather and Frank are the most amazing hosts who made us feel that their home was our home for the 4 nights we stayed. Breakfast was fab. Lots of choice. Nothing was too much trouble! (We tried not to make trouble 🤣). Lots of National Trust, Woodland Trust and English Heritage within easy driving distance. Heather had many Guides and Walking Maps for us to use. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Oak Lodge. Thank you again Heather & Frank 🥰🌿🌳
