Huge apartment building with high ceilings, felt really spacious. Modern furnishings and equipment. Very convenient location, just a short 5-10 min walk into the centre of Chester. Perfect.

There are a lot of steps from street-level to the lobby and to many of the rooms. Can be a bit daunting with lots of luggage, though staff did pitch in when they saw us struggling.

The quirkiness of Oddfellows makes each stay a delight. From the wood paneled bar with larger-than-life animal murals to the round bed of the Newbrook to the deep tub in the Douglas suite, it’s utterly charming. The Caldecott Classic is sufficient for a twosome, recommend the apartments for three or more traveling together.

Shower in middle of room was odd and glass door to bathroom was off putting and gave lack of privacy.

Great location. Lovely and friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Interesting historical building. Nice decor in room, hotel and gardens.

Hour later check in than hotel and hour earlier check out :-( Not as high quality interiors as the hotel - Some maintence needed in shower areas & kitchen (re siliconing, cupboard doors etc) Cooker hood was thick with dust. Request for one room/double to be split into a twin was ignored despite details on the website saying it was possible.

Apartment 3 (2 bedroom) Spacious and perfect for families. Having an en suite for each of the 2 bedrooms was great. City centre location and having a parking space included is a real bonus - saved on NCP parking and so quick easy to unpack on arrival. Very quiet at night for the city centre location. Good value for a family compared to a city centre hotel stay.

Nothing not to like, my only comment would be the limited wardrobe and drawer space in room 6.

A great boutique style hotel, well situated in the centre of Chester. The rooms are very comfortable although we did feel they could offer more storage. Limited wardrobe space and the only drawer storage was limited to the desk/bureau. However this did not present a problem for a short two night stay. For a longer stay, we may have struggled. The hotel rooms and public areas were kept spotlessly clean and the staff we met during our stay were very friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast but this was well cooked and various options to suit individual dietary needs and tastes. Sadly no parking at the hotel. The nearest parking is a two minutes walk away at Pepper Street, however after reading the very poor reviews, we opted to park at Watergate car park, a leisurely 10 minute walk from the hotel. Two full days parking cost just £15.00. Overall a lovely midweek stay at a friendly and comfortable hotel in an ideal location.

Not specifically not like, however there was a parking space included with the apartments which we didn’t know until we made it there. So we then had to go and move our car, was fantastic to load up the car right outside the front door

I have stayed in other 2 bed apartments which have felt cramped and unliveable but can cope for a few hours. This however wowed us!!! We all commented on how well spaced and luxurious it felt. Someone could live in this as their home it’s so comfortable and homely.

Just a small suggestion that's all, not a negative comment. Could do with a place to put your wet soap in the bathroom, like a soap dish - I had to simply put it on wooden countertop which is not good for the varnish.

Stayed in an attic room and it was so quirky I loved it. Great shower, bed was comfortable. Be carful if you are tall as low ceilings but you would expect this with eaves in the attic.

Dishwasher not brilliant at cleaning and the front bedroom can occasionally be noisy due to the road noise at night.

Lovely quirky apartment really close to the centre of Chester. Great to have a private car park space. Generally nice and quiet but see comment below.

If I had to pick anything, I would say the place could do with a few odd jobs- repainting small parts of the rooms walls/skirting/windowsills where the paint had peeled away, redoing some of the bathroom sealant, rewallpaering the wall or at least taking off the many random bits of tape in the 2nd bedroom as this looked quite messy and fixing a few things like the toilet roll holder hanging off in the en-suite.

Really enjoyed our stay at the apartment number 1 at Oddfellows. The location was great, with easy access with to the centre of the city and the river. The apartment was decorated lovely and had lots of space to sit and move around the lounge/kitchen area. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all a good size too. The beds were really big too and the showers were powerful. We got a parking space included, which is a big bonus, as parking is not easy in the city centre. The check in was super easy, took about 2 minutes and the staff were friendly. One of the members of my family left her necklace in the room and this was found by the cleaner who alerted reception within 5 minutes of us leaving it and we were able to go back and collect this as we checked out. Would definitely return here. Also the price for the apartment was very good value for money. We had a look round the secret garden bar at the hotel and will definitely be back here in the summer to sit outside, it was too cold at this time of year unfortunately. The actual hotel looked really nice as well. Also included toiletries which was handy too.

I don’t think the hotel is the best value for money. If it wasn’t for the standing bathtub within the room I’d say the room itself is pretty average. On an evening the outside area was very messy, no one seemed to be cleaning up tables after people had left, resulting in guests having the move cups/bottles/plates etc to take a seat.

The bath tub within the bedroom was a great touch for the room. The room itself was located in a quiet area. Beds were comfortable also!
