The lady at the restaurant who said we hadn’t booked in and asked us to sit down. No offer of drink or communication for 15 plus minutes. We had to ask and we never had an apology from her. We were woken up a lot as could hear people talking and doors and cars though were I. The coach house. Though a shame there wasn’t better soundproof.

A fabulous venue and friendly staff mostly especially the receptionist and young waitresses and cleaner. The food was exceptional and from cosy and lovely.

Nothing really...we had a fine stay and would not hesitate in returning.

Truly friendly staff, made us feel very welcome. Whole hotel imaginatively decorated - a combination of tasteful quirkyness. Food was beautifully presented and delicious, but portions could have been larger and the menu choice could do with some expansion to incorporate more vegetarian and vegan options. That said, the kitchen was obliging.

A pity there was no hot water in the morning for a shower/bath :( Apparently an engineer had been called to fix the fault (extended beyond just our room)

Food (evening meal and breakfast) excellent. Service- staff very friendly and helpful Room - very comfortable, well decorated.

Extract fan on flat roof outside our window a bit noisy due to hot weather we had the window wide open We did find the fan in the Wardrobe next morning

The service was a little slow in the bar, and we would have appreciated a more extensive dinner menu in the restaurant but all in all not much to complain about!

Beautiful building with a lot of character. The room was spectacular, apart from the banging radiator pipes which woke us up several times. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. There was also plenty of parking available at the back of the hotel which was free of charge.

A bit expensive for where and what it is and breakfast service was very slow.

This place feels really swanky and up-market from start to finish. It is a beautiful old building in a superb location with everything well maintained and spotlessly lean. Staff friendly and efficient and good breakfast. On site free parking is a bonus.

The quality of the evening dinner was really awful .So surprised. I can't think of a worst hotel meal for a long time.The starter was ridiculous .One flake of mackerel on a small lettuce leaf with a white dressing .I was told fresh and smoked mackerel but no .Main course ,poached cod .So awful .Luke warm .not cooked properly tasteless and asked for broccoli which was lukewarm and horrible .Get the chef to look at Ric Steins book on cooking fish ..Consequently we ate elsewhere on the following nights .Didn't dare risk it

Everything. Facilities in room excellent, bed so comfortable, hairdryer next to a mirror, tea and coffee making provisions exceptional, bathroom products lovely. Dinner and breakfast both delicious and good quality with great service. Recommend the cocktails!
