The farm was in a lovely area with wonderful views. There were lots of animals that we could see with information notices so you could learn more about each animal. The rooms were very spacious.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The outside grounds were beautiful. I enjoyed taking a walk to visit the animals and get some fresh air. The breakfast was amazing and the hospitality and the attention of the hostess superb. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Location just outside of Edinburgh but easy to get into city centre

    • Double or Twin Room with Private Bathroom

Only criticism is that shower area is large but water pressure weak. Combined shower gel/shampoo not fixed to the wall so have to hold dispenser to use in the shower.

Location just outside of Edinburgh but easy to get into city centre by using park and ride. Rooms and beds very large. Clear instruction manual. Good information on local places to eat and take always. Room very clean. Great breakfast menu choice. Self check in so no problem if late (which we here due to road closure).

Bedroom and communal areas were spotless. Beds were comfortable and the rooms are a good size with plenty of space and had a great bathroom with a really nice shower. Breakfast was excellent. Both the cooked breakfast items and the maple syrup bacon pancakes were delicious. Friendly and helpful hosts who offer the chance to have a little look around at the animals on their farm. Will definitely be back, wish we could have stayed longer!

What’s not to like! The farm is only a few miles outside Edinburgh. It’s a perfect base to explore the city out of. The room is comfortable, and the bed is lush! The farm is unique in that the hotel rooms are as comfortable as a hotel room, while being a B and B, while also being a functioning farm! The breakfast provided is scrumptious, and completely filling. In addition to juice, milk, and a range of cornflakes, you get the choice of informing Ailsa and the lovely team what you’d like for breakfast (from their set list). The farm is also a wonderful space. They had prizewinning Clydesdale horses, and 3 curious alpacas! Even the chickens were friendly.

Everything for our weekend stay was just perfect. We were attending a wedding so had asked for an early check, this was done for us and our room was amazing. It was spotlessly clean. Bed was so comfy and the room lovely and warm. The staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was to die for cured the hangover. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Would highly recommend this place it was 5 star

We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely return again.

Peggyslea Farm B & B was perfect in every way! Annette and Ailsa were warm, welcoming, genuine, and kind hosts. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and all amenities were generously provided. Of all the places we visited during a month’s travel in the UK and Scotland, breakfasts here were the best: fresh fruit, eggs collected from their chickens that morning, and jams they’d made themselves. / This is a working farm. It was delightful be able to interact with all the animals and fun to watch Ailsa train her team of Clydesdales. / We left our car at the (free) Park and Ride in a nearby village and took the bus into Edinburgh. Annette and Ailsa gave us good advice on other (less touristy) places to go and things to see as well.
