    Nothing significant to report!

What a lovely bunch of people!! Friendly, helpful and pleasant. It’s a great first impression to walk in through gardens that have had some serious effort put into them. The room was spotless, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great. It’s literally just around the corner to get down onto the sea front and an easy walk from the station. Overall, excellent!

TV was a little frustrating as it had problems with signal - it did improve after I mentioned it.

Breakfast choice was excellent and well cooked and presented.

The heating system was not working. While we were given a space heater which worked fine, we would have preferred that some effort be made to get the radiator bled and functioning properly. The bus system did not operate after 5:45pm so it was awkward to have dinner, and then have to walk from a restaurant or take a taxi in the dark or rain. Chairs were beginning to look quite worn, but still comfortable.

Grateful for the many choices for breakfast, especially the fruit. The glassed in balcony provided a wonderful view and spot to relax, especially on rainy days. Wonderful to be able to walk to the beaches, train, gardens etc. Good access to busses downtown. Beautiful blooming orchid. Invitation to a lovely meal at Namaste. Appreciated extra warm throws.

Loved the view out the top floor windows. Had table and chairs that we could sit at and enjoy the view with a door to a outside small balcony. Really liked having a refrigerator in our room.

The cooked breakfast was nicely cooked and staff were accommodating re doing my egg well cooked. Good choice for continental breakfast. The only thing I would say was the cooked breakfast was ok amount for small eaters but I feel maybe a more generous helping would be welcomed.

The beds were extremely comfortable. If we could've brought them home we would have. Lovelyview overlooking the sea and added bonus of a balcony. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so couldn't use it much.

Very friendly and helpful staff. This is a traditional bed and breakfast, simple but very comfortable and warm rooms - I stayed in the winter. The place is old fashioned in style but its a good price and nice to support traditional b & b's rather than vacational homes which stay empty half the year. Thanks for a great stay!

I wasn't keen on the requirement to say what time and what you want to eat for breakfast the day before. The decor was a bit run down a lick of paint would do wonders.

Great location, comfortable, clean and a very useful fridge.

There was quite a lot of noise, fairly late on, I could hear from the garden area, on one of the nights I was there.

I liked the location. Thought the breakfast was good too.

Yes, there couple be a fresh lick of paint here and there but you can tell the build is old and for your money, the basic qualities were there and it was comfortable. The balconies attached to the top 3 rooms don't look very attractive but being open to the elements all year around, it didn't bother me.

Poltair has character and other than the basic comforts, it was quiet. The bed was comfortable for us and I know that varies from person to person. We had the en quite room with the bath, the rooms all bird names was something combe, I forget but it was a fair size and with a small bathroom. We also got given complimentary wine as it was valentines day which was an unexpected and nice touch and the hostess was polite. The staff serving breakfast were also polite attentive and we couldn't fault breakfast. Parking wasn't an issue but we did go in off peak times so getting a space on the road outside wasn't a worry.

The hotel is on the beach side - but more of a walk to the harbour and shops and where the majority of the restaurants and bars are. Only one cafe on the beach side. We had a family room and the double bed was quite small..! It was also a shame as the bedroom had a small balcony area but we couldn’t access it as the door was jammed shut/locked. The description said sea view.. which there is but it’s also partially obscured by buildings opposite.

Very nice breakfast, staff very friendly and efficient. Great location for the beach and there’s a lovely cafe up the road where we had lunch. Room was nice and bed was comfy.
