We stayed for Christmas and we’re delighted that there was a lovely Christmas tree. The accommodation was stylish, comfortable, very clean and well equipped for cooking our Christmas dinner. Very close to the beach for daily walks.

The parking spaces were very narrow.

The apartment had lots of space and it has been furnished in a comfortable and artistic fashion. My husband loved the long bath! There was plenty of equipment in the kitchen area with a coffee making machine as a bonus. The village itself was quiet and friendly with the beach being very close to walk to. There was a good selection of pubs and restaurants.

All great. unfortunately a noisy event at the pub nearby one night but this did not distract from the overall experience. So no complaints.

Location was great - a short walk to the beach but tucked away off the main street. Very comfortable, well furnished and everything we needed. Lovel garden areas to relax in when not at the beach. Overall it was excellent.

The TV had a fault in that the terrestrial aerial din't work. The owner was not aware of this and I was happy to help him diagnose it. The owner was very helpful and we promised to come back even so. Not dog friendly which is unusual for the area.

The location in Alnmouth surrounded by great places to eat, drink and sightsee. Nice quiet location, and really good parking. High quality finish and kitchen facilities.

Difficult to find - needs a number on the gate post. Courtyard quite dark and one remaining parking space very narrow/tricky due to low wall. No free cupboards (one tiny rack) to put your own food.

Lovely property, very comfortable and decorated and furnished to a high standard. Staff available to help by phone if needed. Fantastic location in gorgeous Alnmouth.

Fantastic quiet location a few minutes walk from an amazing beach. Everything provided for a stress-free stay. Lovely comfortable cottage with great facilities. Easy to walk to local pubs and a general store.

We cannot think of anything we didn’t like.

Beautifully furnished stone house conversion. Extremely comfortable with everything you would need for your stay. Really feels like home as soon as you arrive. We only cooked breakfasts and prepared packed lunches but there was everything you needed to cook evening meals if you want to. We ate out at The Hope and Anchor (just across the road) which was excellent. Beautiful setting for the property in Alnmouth. A perfect base to explore Holy Island, Bamburgh and many other lovely places. Train station is only 5 mins drive away so we took a trip to Edinburgh for the day. Nina was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying in Pope Lodge again.

There was nothing that could have been done better. So much thought has gone into making this apartment a wonderful place to stay.

Perfect accomodation in a stunning location. Attractive furnishings, well fitted kitchen, great lighting, books, games, thick towels, and bathrobes. There is onsite parking and the shops, cafes and pubs are on the doorstep, but it is an extremely quiet and private property that even has an outdoor garden area to enjoy. So much attention to detail to ensure that you have everything needed, and more. Much more on offer here than most other places I have stayed during my travels. It exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning.

Very hot in property, despite leaving windows and front door open. Kitchen generally wasn’t very user friendly.dining table small - couldn’t be extended. Tiny freezer component within fridge. Advertised as having freezer.

Sounds petty but the cups / mugs were huge! Standard size would suffice.

Spacious, well designed, clean and all you need / would expect. Light and airy. Good location and great to have a parking space.

If I was to be very picky: A few of the lights needed new bulbs but this did not hamper our stay at all. The fire doesn’t work and hasn’t both times we have stayed, it would be great if a new one was fitted or a log burner especially for the winter months. For us this would be the icing on the cake for the property. There were a few cobwebs on the ceiling but not very noticeable. The tap was leaking ever so slightly, but this had been addressed by the housekeepers.

Amazing Location & a fantastic place. Our second time here and we were ever so pleased. The Tv is a great size, the bathroom is lovely nice hot water. Comfy bed as well.
