It was very dark. We had to use our phone torches as there was no overhead light only lamps that were dimly lit in the bedroom.

We were told the restaurant was open from 18:00. When we went down we were then told it didn’t open on a Sunday. As a family member has mobility issues this was a problem and I would not have booked if I had know.

Central location was ideal for our brief visit to Bristol but doesn’t offer any frills. Very lean hospitality tray with less than you’d expect from a hotel group.

When booked it clearly stated that I could pay cash if I had photo ID. On arrival was told that it was cashless. The people in front of us were allowed to pay cash “as an exception”, I believe because they were deaf and had trouble communicating so staff took the easy option. It was really inconvenient as I had banked (excuse the pun) on paying cash. The room was clean but not spotless (what looks like blood on the inside of the bathroom door 😳), no standard tea bags- only flavoured, no sockets next to the bed….

Most staff were excellent, one let the side down as was ignorant at first encounter but was great after that.

Location was perfect, easy walk from the train station and so convenient for everything we needed to see/do in the city centre.

No decaffeinated tea in my room. Grubby marks on carpet by bin, chips on wardrobe. Maybe a bit picky but over £100 a night.

Location was excellent for us. Parking on site, a bit expensive as we were staying in the hotel. Good quality breakfast. Comfortable rooms.

I loved everything

Super location, walking distance to all tourists sites. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Very helpful at the front desk. Comfy beds and lovely toiletries, specially the lavender spray. Ultra clean.

Lifts didnt stop on the floor when we called for it so we had to wait at least 5 minutes each time. Breakfast was only lukewarm.

While the parking is convenient, the underground car park (like so many these days) is quite cramped! I would also always prefer nicer coffee than sachets of instant Nescafé.

Room was spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. Staff were very helpful too. The location is excellent for most things you'd want to do or get to in the city centre.

We were informed we didn’t need to book a parking space, when we arrived we were asked if we had booked a space,none were available and we had to pay £26 to park elsewhere. When we arrived at our room a maintenance man was working on the aircon,it didn’t work the whole time we were in our room, our room was clearly not ready.

The lighting was a little odd. In the main bedroom area there were various lamps but no ceiling lights. With all lamps on it was quite dim, nice atmosphere but not ideal when trying to do other things such as read. We have stayed in this hotel twice and while everything else is great. It’s clean, staff are great, location is perfect for exploring the city. On both occasions I have found the bed rather uncomfortable and not slept particularly well.
