How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

My room was right next to the tube station the announcements were so loud it kept waking me up past midnight. Could do with some soundproofing. Also they should have shutters or sheer blinds. The windows were very exposed when needing to get changed or just to have general light in the room. Pulling the blinds down for privacy just darken the whole room and you couldn’t see out of the window. I felt the need to always keep my blinds closed as I was right across from an office where people are working and they could see directly into my room and me sitting on the bed

The double room we also had was quite small, a lot smaller than my kids twin room Although very clean the rooms could do with abit of a refurbishment

Only issue was the window blinds. There was a big gap in the middle and around the edges so lots of light streamed in. Receptionist didn't seem too surprised when I mentioned it at checkout .
Great room , nice size and bathroom was newly refurbished. Breakfast expensive but worth the money. Good location and nearby shops and station ideal.

We had created a problem when booking but the staff were great, sorted it all out and agreed to still allow breakfasts to be included. The breakfasts were excellent. Great location with a Tube Station next door, close to rental car pick-up points and a supermarket across the road

The Hotel bar and lounge area is quite small and not a great space for relaxing and having a coffee. The gym is a little small and limited on equipment.
Fabulous location for accessing central London. Very helpful and friendly staff. And finally comfortable and clean rooms for a very satisfying stay.

The Wi Fi did not work in the room could only get access in the public areas. Very poor for a four star hotel Not sure how the room would be classed as "superior" really very basic accommodation with one small chair and a bottle of mineral water. There are better hotels for a similar price in London
The location is this hotels plus point with convenient access to public transport. Comfortable bed and quiet room

Coating over Windows when we asked why none of the staff knew anything about it would ask for a different room next time
Staff were very helpful and friendly it was my granddaughters birthday, and they left a cake and card for her, which was a lovely touch breakfast first class

See comments above re breakfast. Also the Bar charged an optional service charge but it is included as a standard which can be misleading. When I paid a bill did not have my glasses with me, saw the service queried with Manager and was told once bill is accepted you are agreeing to the charge. Additionally my colleague gave tips without knowledge of the service charge - Could be made clearer to Customers
Breakfast was OK good selection however tea was cold continuously, bacon overcooked and oily

Not having booked breakfast the hotel wanted to charge £28 per person for breakfast which we obviously did not avail of.

My only negative would be the blinds in the room, they didn’t fit and let light in early in the morning

Our room didnt have any plug points by the bed which I found really strange. It made it impossible for me to use a CPAP machine, however the staff were very accommodating in moving us to another room

Air conditioning needs to work in small in rooms.
Covenient for Euston Station. Great breakfast. Excellent check in staff. VERY poor, tiny room which was unbelievably hot and stuffy - with noisy pumps/fans outside window - if you opened them - and air conditioning that didn't work.

All was good.
Helpful polite reception staff, clean and comfy rooms, good facilities and location. I slept like a log. Easy walking distance to Oxford St, Regents Park and various tube stations.
