Lack of intervention by staff of a couple in the bar Acting inappropriately and spilling several drinks on the floor on Friday 17th May around 21:00. The couple did not appear to be staying at the hotel and were literally ‘off the street’ they did not present as how one would expect clientele of the Radisson to behave. In my view they should have been asked to leave…

The amount of single use plastic in the room was so much: tea spoons, mugs and water glasses all individually wrapped in plastic. You could give glass bottles of water not plastic as it’s a 5 star hotel.

The staff were fantastic, helpful & friendly in all areas. The bed was very comfortable and sheets soft. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. We ate in the library bar in the evening, food was fresh and of a very high standard. The breakfast had a wide variety of choice and very good value for money. We had a quick trip to the spa after check out which was the perfect way to end our trip before a long drive. A special mention to the gentleman in the library bar on Sunday afternoon for his tips on where to stand to get the good lighting for a picture! All round a wonderful stay, would certainly recommend and will definitely be back.

The shower didn’t drain away quickly and the water could have leaked out of the bathroom.

Had been here before and it was impressive then, that was just before Covid. I didn’t have a reason to return until now but I am glad I did. I travelled with my young son and we were very well looked after. Some of the staff were exceptional, Gary the concierge and always at the reception desk stood out. The friendliness was appreciated.

I felt the staff member who checked us in took a while. He also asked me for my address which i have not been asked before at any other hotels i have stayed at. When i gave my postcode he then asked for my door number and i felt uncomfortable giving my address details when other guests were next to me waiting to check in and also behind me. Im not sure why that was necessary since i made the booking through booking.com and he had my bank card details that i used to book the room in the first place. Confidentiality is very important for me when it comes to sharing my personal details so i dont know why he felt he needed that information from me. My partner also felt a little bit invisible as he was just talking to me dispite us both being guests. So i think going forward all guests should be welcomed no matter who booked the room. The other minor negatives were that i dont think the room had been given the once over before we arrived as there was a drinks spillage stain on the wooden table and on the carpet dry feaces mark that may have been from someones shoe im not sure. So for us we expected a little more from the hotel in terms of cleanliness standards. Everything else was very good and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a lovely pool gym and restaurant.

Love the buildings architecture and the interior design, very sleek and modern but still retains its charm.

At reception the person who booked me in stood behind the screen and I couldnt see her face also as she was softly spoken I could not hear her as the screen blocked my view of her. A bit of face to face communication would hacve been good.

The wrong room type was allocated on arrival (double instead of a twin), though this was rectified and compensated for we had to wait an hour and a half before it was ready.

We had a drink at the bar, I ordered lemon and mint tea and it came in a tea pot - cold. I asked how it’s meant to be served to which they said hot, so swapped it. However you would expect the waiter to notice when pouring the water that it wasn’t hot. Anyway paid the bill at the bar, to then be chased into the lobby with a card machine and bill saying I hadn’t paid (lobby was busy due to it raining outside) to which I said I paid by cash at the bar with your colleague- not great!
