Require one more toilet in each cottage as a cottage can accommodate 6 ppl, but one toilet is not sufficient. Couple of cottages upper floor board was squeaking which was disturbing.

The location is great..Fantastic views. We are in a group of 17 people and having four cottages next to each other was really convenient.

Shower was unusable due to the volcanic heat and the room is starting to look very dated and could do with a refurb. Bed was very comfy

The staff were excellent and the assistant manager tried her best to sort out a problem with the shower

The cottage (no.2) felt a little dated, so could do with a refurb. However everything worked fine and was very clean so no complaints really.

The views, the facilities, the very friendly staff

Only let down for me was that I'd contacted in advance to inform that I was gluten free. The breakfast to order was adapted on request, however nothing suitable on the self service breakfast area, so less selection for me.

Room was great, breakfast good also. Also chose to dine for dinner which was lovely, food was of high quality and liked that the charges could be added to your room to close off all in one go. Staff were very friendly when checking in and out.

The room I was given was in the adjacent building as agreed on booking. But I was not told about squeaky floor boards in the room above, which spoilt an early to bed. When complained, i was told it is an old building . Not a good recommendation 😕

Great location by the river. Lovely walks around the area. Dog friendly

We stayed last Saturday night and had pre-booked dinner. The hotel has a wonderful location set alongside the River Wharfe in beautiful countryside. The bedroom was olde worldy with a huge bathroom. There is an excellent terrace alongside the river, and as the weather was fantastic for sitting out it was very busy, but not uncomfortably so. The evening meal and the breakfast were both excellent and the staff were all helpful and very friendly. We will be back.

Our accommodation was fantastic - two separate bedrooms joined by a small hall area and bathroom in the middle. Both decorated to a high standard, very clean and comfortable beds.

Whilst not the end of the world , the television reception was dreadful and the bathroom is ready for a refit . Total invoice incorrect ( overcharged approx £90 ) which necessitated intervention by the manager who was brusque with no apology - needs addressing.

Location , character, food , mostly friendly staff.

Maybe the room we stayed in needed updating a little. When I booked our evening meal I asked to be seated in the restaurant area but we were seated in the small dining area with the fire.

Perfect location Homely surrounding in the hotel Fantastic views Fantastic that I could take my dog, he was made very welcome indeed.

A very comfortable 2 night stay at this wonderful location. Home from home. Log fires, very friendly staff and super relaxing. I have been visiting Burnsall for years but never stayed here before.always a place to gather for drinks or food before. I loved getting up and walking the river walk whilst drinking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales . The church is well worth a visit for its history. I would definitely recommend. The room had uneven floors and a step up in to the bath/shower which some may struggle with although it had a hand rail. For me it added to the charm and age of the building I stayed in room 8 and the view was lovely
