Great welcome. Riverside House was lovely. Sparkling clean, lovely grounds and location. The room was so comfortable. Great shower. Next to the river with a country pub within walking distance. Couldn't fault it.

Joanna welcomed us like we were old family friends. She made us feel so so welcomed and comfortable for the whole stay. Nothing was too much of an ask for her. Little home comforts around the room just added to how cosy and homely the home and room were. There was a little jam shed you could get home made jam and marmalade from which was just the cutest thing. The home was on a lake front which was a short walk to. The room and home were so clean. We had the perfect sleep on the comfiest bed. We had an en suite which was really convenient and private. The location and views were insane. But through all of that, Joanne was just such a lovely and friendly host. The time and effort she has put into her home to make for the cosiest stay was just exceptional. Will definitely be returning and recommending.

Amazing setting, beautiful house, room was massive and exceptionally clean. Good shower and fast WiFi. We had a very comfortable stay. Joanne was an exceptional host. We would stay there again!

There was nothing we didnt like and hope to return in the summer.

Arrived to the warmest of welcomes. Our host was so accommodating and you just felt like you were an old friend. The house is outstanding and our room was large with lovely views. Bed was very comfortable and a good nights sleep was lovely.

An amazing place to stay with a great host! The room was bigger than expected with lovely views out of the 3 windows. It is in a quiet setting with the river really close. It was great to walk by the river and despite the rain I saw a beautiful sunset! The coloured towels were a nice touch, another non-hotel feel!

There is nothing that we can think of that would have improved our stay.

The house and gardens were stunning and the room we stayed in was lovely, with extra touches that made our stay even better. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The house is in walking distance to to local pub, which serves lovely food and has a nice outside seating area.

The house and grounds are absolutely stunning. The views of the garden and river are beautiful and really make your stay. Exceptionally clean, extremely roomy, peaceful, and real comfort. I often struggled to sleep away but had no trouble at all falling asleep, which was perfect. Joanne is a personable and lovely host who not only went above and beyond around our plans but made us feel so welcome. Great facilities, too, tea, treats, and make sure you check out the small short walk along the river for the jam stand and nearby pub. This is a perfect stay being so close to York but also having co-op and places to eat / drink nearby too. Wanted to mention reviews regarding no lock on the door. It's a family home, so this was no problem for us at all, but I also noticed the host has also catered for this with a lock available in the draw that you can pop in place. We didn't feel the need to use it, but it was lovely to see it's there for guests who would like to.
