The location was brilliant as we were going to a Palace Garden party, and the hotel is within easy walking distance. Lovely staff and quality building and deco.

I didn't like the old-style coil mattress, but the staff kindly got me a mattress topper that solved the problem.

The hotel is beautiful and the service by the staff is impeccable! I had a small room and the red decor was a bit much for a long stay like mine, but there was every amenity in the room, decent sized bathroom with rain shower and bath tub. The room even had a sitting area, which was surprising for a small room like that. Breakfast in the hotel is very expensive and there are no "small breakfast" options (like just coffee and pastry), and you'll find better options across the street (Gail's and English Tea Rose are recommended). But if you want a proper big breakfast, then prepay before your stay. The bar, afternoon tea and restaurant are all great (if expensive). And the location can't be beat! Across the street from Buckingham Palace and close to Victoria station (tube, train station, coach station and bus hub), so you can get everywhere quite fast.

The double rooms are small and at first I was put off by this. After we organized our things into the room it was very nice and I appreciated the coziness.

Completely above par. Everyone was courteous and attentive. The staff was very helpful in every way and accommodated our request (which were not many) quickly.

Cooked breakfast was too fast coming out, we didn’t have time to eat our cereals before it came Next time we will book direct with the hotel as we thought the room was very small and for booking. Com customers only I’d rather pay the extra I think the service charges are over the top as we pay it on every order, so if we order six brinks there’s only one service charge but if we order three times there’s three sevice charges, sorry but it all adds up

everything was quite brilliant with the exception of the food. Like many places today, they seem to have forgotten how to serve food hot. The Indian restaurant had fantastic staff but the food was served on a cold metal tray and was warm at best, and further aggrivated by the aircon. Breakfast on the first morning was cold bacon, and eggs and warm sausage served on cold plates. The second morning we just had fruit juice and toast...for £35 each !!!!

The lift was broken, there was no fridge in the room and the shower gel, shampoo etc had been attached to the wall so high, if you were in the bath and needed it you would have to stand and stretch to reach it. The hotel is a bit dated and in need of a refurb.

The location was excellent for what we wanted to do.

Had a twin room 4th floor. No view out of window and room felt small. However this was fine for one night, personally wouldn’t have liked it for any longer and did feel slightly short changed.

5 mins walk to Buckingham Palace - Excellent location to see/walk to all the tourist sights. Hotel staff all extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean.

The only problem was we went out for a walk to go sight seeing when we got back to our room the door was left open staff had brought us complimentary chocolates and biscuits which was nice but they didn't close the door behind them .I reported it to reception they apologised and said they would look in it that was the only negative thing .

The location was very good right across the road from Buckingham Palace. The hotel was lovely .

Not really worth the money paid £520 for the night The extra for the view was really non existent as we were to far along to look on the mews No fridge in the room sockets only one side of the bed difficult to plug in the kettle Despite being aware of a 60th birthday no effort was made to a knowledge this Oh and the light in the bathroom was hanging out the ceiling. Would stay again but with lower expectations.
