Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The room was clean and comfortable. The street noise was minimal as well. We enjoyed the free drink and tea selection!

SwitzerlandWe have only one chair in our room. Given the space of our room, we could have two chairs.
Ruby Zoe is located in a nice neighbourhood and walkable to the nearest underground station. The room was very clean and with a big floor-to-ceiling window. The building is modern. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Speedy check-out.

BelgiumShower is integrated into the 'cozy' room - as a design feature. It was fine for a solo traveler.
Wonderful location just outside Nottinghill Gate tube station. Set in a pleasant neighborhood with supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, boutiques etc. Walkable area with bus routes - just a few stops away from Oxford Street. Clean property appropriately themed 'lean luxury'. Super breakfast with many options (eggs, bread, salads, nuts, fruits etc.). Lovely room with all amenities. A really nice experience.

IndiaThe hipster aesthetic feels a bit out of date and maybe something simpler with less youth-oriented touches would work for a broader audience.

AustraliaNo place really for suitcase / benches. As a couple who stayed for 5 nights … we needed to access our things.
Location , vibe of place, staff all helpful and attentive … clean, modern rooms, lovely welcome treat always appreciated… fab breakfast with barista coffee … close to station. Notting hill is a lovely vibrant area and very close to the portobello market. Lots of fab things about the location.

United StatesConvenient location - grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, street market all nearby, and just a short walking distance to metro stops; super friendly staff - with special regards to Simone and Carlos, who made my stay even better; a delicious breakfast and coffee for a great start of the day; in addition to being environmentally friendly. At Ruby Zoe, it seems that every detail was thought out very carefully, so that the guest feels really taken care of.

NetherlandsNo coffee machine or kettle in the bedroom - maxi bars available on some floors (but not ours) which are basically vending machines. There was a complimentary bottle of water and chocolate bar but for the price of a room, I would expect to be able to make tea/coffee.
Great location in Notting Hill close to tube station, nice vibe in the lobby/bar area, reasonable sized (for London) bright rooms

United KingdomWe thought the breakfast was overpriced. At £20 per person, there is no option for a cooked breakfast (although there were boiled eggs you could take from the buffet). The choice of bread was a little unusual (which is not in itself a negative, but some more conventional options would have been good. There was no "normal" bread of the type you would use in the toaster, and no bread rolls of any kind. Only loaves of "Charcoal Bread" and other speciality breads). All of the hard cheese was presented in bite-sized cubes, which is not a good shape for putting on a slice of bread. The choice of cereals looked good. Coffee and orange juice were good, and the breakfast room was nice. However, you can get better breakfast catering for all tastes in small cafes all over London at lower prices.
Excellent location, a two minute walk from the tube station with easy links to just about anywhere in London. Located on a nice street with plenty of shops and eateries. Friendly and helpful staff; spotlessly clean and pleasant room with a very nice view and a huge window. Quiet. Great shower. Comfortable bed. The temperature of the room was just right. Complimentary large bottle of water & bar of chocolate.

AustriaIf anything its a bit unpersonal to have everything handled electronically handled upon check-in/out. Keycard pops out of a machine, I rather prefer it a bit more personal :-) but overall nothing I did not like!
Beautiful, quiet room with huge window. Cute bathroom and teabar in the hallway, lovely welcome sweets and super comfy bed. Spotlessly clean. Eclectic interior in the lobby and restaurant. Great location around the corner of Pembridge Road and Portobello. Only a few meters to Notting Hill gate.

United StatesThe price of the breakfast (20 pounds) seemed a little high. But if I wanted to dine with my friend whose breakfast was included, I was forced into that price range. Also, the coffee bar outside of room could have had an espresso maker. Still, I appreciated the tea and hot water.
It was AMAZING. I appreciated that it was not egg-based. One thing that was not clear to me is what level of room was required to have a complimentary breakfast.
