It is a beautiful hotel with good service and a great breakfast.

We didn't like at all the The scholar brasserie which in this moment is the only dining solution provided by the hotel, but as I understood form The Scott team's feedback, they will open soon a fine dining restaurant in the hotel which is I applaud and in case we come to Edinburgh this year, surely will come and try it.

Everything was great with the room, the staff and the facilities. We did not have breakfast, but I'm sure it was great also.

Extremely comfortable room and lovely bathroom, beautiful exterior and interior, locked up safely at night, sweet little teas and water and hard candies available in the lobby. Nicely landscaped as well.

Our particular room on the top floor had sloping ceilings, which meant that it was tricky getting all of the furniture in comfortably. We particularly missed not having a half / full length mirror.

Good location, Car parking available, Spacious reception areas, (bar / lounge, sitting room, breakfast room and a reception hall with seating and free tea and coffee making facilities,). Friendly and helpful staff. Beds made and room refreshed every day. Good bathroom.

Because you had to get your own coffee and tea at breakfast, there was a long wait to get it and, by the time we got back, our cooked breakfast had been delivered and was cold. The staff didn't think about the fact that we weren't there and keep an eye out for that. Breakfast staff were not very friendly generally.

The decor was exceptional and the comfort of the bed. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and cheerful. A lovely feeling to the whole hotel.

No elevator to upper level rooms but understand and honestly it would seem odd to have one in such a charming manor

Warm greeting upon arrival. The staff were excellent. The property was beautiful. Location of the property was wonderful. Walking distance to center and area attractions. Such a quiet place to wind down after a long day of exploring

Breakfast was busy and did not appear to be as well ran as on staying on previous occasions. Preferred the previous set up where all breakfast was in the same room, including buffet. Appeared disjointed. For the price charged a fridge in the room would have been a welcome addition.

The hotel being on university grounds was unexpected. The honesty bar was advertised on multiple occasions but when we arrived we found that was not in service.

Beautiful hotel, very classy. Special shout out to Matthew, Finn and Angela in the Scholer as they were great! The grounds were well kept and not far from the city centre.
