How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Having to leave
Sandra and Andrew are very welcoming, helpful, and gracious hosts. The location was perfect for walking to the AETLC for Wimbledon, but also for taking the Tube to downtown London. Breakfast was ample and provided to accommodate our schedule. Location is quiet and peaceful. Hosts can help with restaurant recommendations and other sightseeing questions. We would love to stay here again, if we return to England.

It was a joy to stay at Sandra and Andrew's, they were lovely and incredibly friendly hosts. We felt right at home and the breakfast was fresh, tasty and very generous. The room was very well equipped and we were very comfortable. We can't thank them enough for their kindness.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.
Our hosts were lovely, very friendly and inviting. The room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view. The location was a short walk to Southfields tube station as well as various pubs and restaurants. The room was private and quiet, the kitchen was shared and had everything you would need. The rest of the house was gorgeous as well as the back yard. The strawberries for breakfast were the best I've ever had!

When you see the map, you might get the feeling that it is located a bit far, but moving around London always takes around 20 minutes minimum anyways - so in the end, the location was very convenient and the Underground station is at 5 min walk. There are grocery stores and a post office very nearby. The neighborhood is very peaceful and when you arrive, you realize how beautiful the property is! The room is big and very well equipped - it is impossible to find anything in London so nice and big for that price. Sandra and Andrew are amazing hosts! And breakfast was very good. We really enjoyed our stay!

We couldn't make an early cup of tea very easily, but that was not a great inconvenience.
Lovely spacious and airy room. We enjoyed being able to use the garden. We appreciated the help and advice for getting about, and the useful map.

we would have liked the faculty to make tea/coffee in our room, as access to room had two flights of stairs.

We usually stop in hotels but decided to try something different. Sandra and Andrew made us feel so welcome it was like staying with friends. The room, the breakfast and everything about our stay was like a home from home. Sandra and Andrew are fantastic hosts and made us feel like family.If you ever want to visit London and want a base to discover the city this accommodation is a MUST.

We had a lovely time at Sandra and Andrew’s place. Although we spent more time with Andrew as Sandra had to travel, he did really make me and my partner feel very welcome into their home from the first moment. Their house is located on a nice neighbourhood with less than a 10-minute walk to Southfield underground station. There’s also a bus that stops very close to the house that takes you to and from Clapham Junction. Despite being on a main road, the inside of the house is surprisingly quiet and the room is very comfortable and cozy, with a big en-suite and a nice view of the back gardens. Their house is very clean and colourful and we had breakfast in their bright and spacious dining area. This was self service but they provided different options for one to have breakfast and we felt it was quite good. Due to last minute change of plans, we needed to stay on our departure day well passed the checkout time. However, Andrew was very kind and allowed us to stay in the lounge area and even lent us a keyboard for the iPad so we could do what we urgently needed to do online. Therefore, and considering all of the above, we would definitely like to stay at Sandra and Andrew’s place in the future and would undoubtedly recommend them to other travellers as they really make you feel welcome in their home.

The location is a little outside the tourist center of London, but we knew that when we booked and it was a quick walk to the tube station to get into the tourist areas.
Sandra and Andrew were very nice and a pleasure to be around. The room, bathroom, and breakfast exceeded my expectations. I could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Nothing to dislike!
Local to Wimbledon and free off street parking. B&B is a well converted loft room. Lovely bathroom, large room. Small but sufficient breakfast of assorted bread, jams, fruit and yogurt. Andrew and Sandra were lovely hosts, would highly recommend.
