Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe music in the roof top bar was really loud for a hotel bar, however there is a second bar on the ground floor.
The location is lovely. Breakfast was very good. We upgraded on checkin to a suite which was amazing as we were celebrating my partner’s 50th Birthday. The suite has a double balcony overlooking the Thames with a view of St Paul’s plus we bought our dog to stay on the 2nd night.

SerbiaThe breakfest offer wasn't as in the 5 star Hotel. The hotel staff wasn't particularly friendly from the beginning to the end of our stay, even I would never say that they were unkind. It looks that they were too busy. The bathroom accessories weren't replenished for a few days, But it wasn't also a big problem. During our stay, we had an unpleasent situation. One night the fire alarm was went off around the midnight which really disturbed me and my husband. After that, someone from the hotel security knocked on the door of our room with explanation that he was charged to investigate alarm situation. We were told that we were not in the danger, but it was stressful for us. We didn't receive any kind of excuse from the hotel staff, not that night or for the rest of our stay. Truly, we would appreciate some words of apologies bcs of the inconvenience experience we had or even explanation for the accident.
The smell of the Hotel :) Room was modern and tasteful with a comfortable and huge bed. location was perfect, very convenient to train station and in walking distance to many attractive places.

United KingdomWhen we checked out we were asked if we wanted to add a tip to what we were due for the hotel staff. We had paid service charge when we were in bar etc and thought this a bit odd.
Loved the location it was so easy to get to all the places we had planned to visit. The rooms were bigger than any other hotel we stayed at in London. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
