Walls are a bit thin, if anybody is outside of your room you can clearly hear them. I could hear the shower running in the adjacent rooms.

Friendly front desk, very clean and clear instructions. Breakfast buffet had a reasonably good variety and spread. Location is fantastic, short walk from Newcastle train station and close to lots of restaurants and entertainment places. Room was very clean and tidy. Had good functionality.

A bit pricey at the weekend caused me to search for other places. Small water barrier between the shower and the toilet.

Close to the city center and the train station. Good breakfast.

"Strange" bathroom design: translucent sliding door, no shower tray (this is a small issue), narrow shower screen (towels on the shelves can end up wet), mediocre ventilation (no extractor fan), toilet is positioned pretty high, even for a 5 ft 8.9 in (175 cm) tall guest. A/C (even if the control guide is straightforward) is working relatively poorly.

5th level room with floor to ceiling windows, with view over the Newcastle Cathedral, the castle and the Tyne Bridge. Bright and good-sized room, easy check-in process, great location (super close to the central station).

Unable to have curtains open as my room faced office windows with people sat at them. Heating / air conditioning was a bit rattley.

Good location, comfortable bed, friendly staff & nice breakfast

The only downside is that the breakfast was pretty poor especially when I paid almost £12 per person. The bacon was hard, scrambled eggs were really rubbery and the beans were half warm.

The room itself was super nice especially with the price, it was clean, the bed was comfy & it came equipped for everything you’d need. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a great location.

floor to ceiling window that doesn't open, no real fresh air and wake up in the morning affected by AC. With 2 people for a week there wasn't any real clothing storage space, so lived out the suitcases.

Great location not far from the station. With a good sized room. Staff were very helpful at all times!

TV in my room wasn't working

I visited Newcastle for work and booked this hotel for one night. Arrived way before the check-in time, staff in reception kindly let me check-in straight away. My room was small but had all what I needed for an enjoyable stay: comfortable bed, good pillows, powerful shower. Room was clean, bathroom also small but not a problem. Nice buffet breakfast with hot and cold options. .

Budget room in heart of busy city

I can't say that there is anything I didn't like based on the cost of the room, but just remember that it is very basic. If you're just needing one night to put your head down then this is perfect but a few days could warrant a few more pounds being spent.

The location is perfect, right in the city centre and a stones throw from the railway and metro stations. Our room was spacious enough and comfortable for one night, but it's very basic. This leads into the cost however which was extremely reasonable and very budget friendly. Staff that we dealt with were all polite, friendly and courteous. Can't comment on breakfast facilities as we decided to go out for breakfast.

The room was starting to look a little tired with some dings and bits showing some wear but nothing that impeded the rooms function. Breakfast was £11ish and didn't look fantastic. We didn't bother and opted to go elsewhere. Bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable, certainly not one for a lazy lie in.

The hotel was very reasonable for Newcastle at £70 per night. For that, you're getting a clean, compact, and functional room. It's perfectly located for those who want to go to the bars/clubs and experience Newcastle's tremendous nightlife. Located on the 5th floor, we couldn't hear much from the street but could imagine lower floors would. But it's not really a romantic couple's destination but would be functional for business, but it is ideal for those hitting the bars/clubs. I'd stay again for a midweek break or for business, but for a couples city break I'd probably spend the extra for one of the bigger hotels.
