Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe really enjoyed our stay at Sonder the Henry for 10 nights in April. Our room was really roomy and comfortable and made a great base for all our sightseeing and adventures in London. Kensington gardens was at the end of the street and there were three tube stations within easy walking distance. The staff were all very nice and went out of their way if there was ever anything needed. Fernando in particular was lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

United StatesIt would be excellent if there could be a bar with bar snacks until 9pm at some later date. Sometimes work means a late finish. You just want to come back home and chill. A simple snack would be fabulous.
Great location for me with regard to walking in Kensington Gardens and also to my appointments.

AustraliaNothing that I can think of in the price range.
The staff were helpful and friendly and the location convenient. I was really happy that the coffee shop was operating in the lobby. It allowed me a calm space to have breakfast and plan my day before venturing out and the hotel staff were nearby if I had any questions - important for the solo traveller. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the room inclusions well thought out and there was ready self-service access to extra supplies for the room should they run low. All in all the hotel met my needs very nicely and I will be happy to return and to recommend the Henry to fellow travellers.

AustraliaRoom was quite small and lacks some essentials (tissues, cotton buds..). Also, luggage storage is not available so had spend extra $$$ to store my luggage on the last day as I had a late flight, particularly since checkout time is early at 11am.
The room was very clean and new. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Front desk was staffed at all times, and everyone was professional. Good location, 10 mins walk to Paddington station which is a central station with direct trains to the airport and different parts of the city.

CanadaThe room was extremely small, and there was not a lot of space to move around. There was only one body-sized towel and a second would have been nice. And, the outlet was a bit loose which meant my phone didn’t charge overnight because the adaptor slipped out. Also, the pre-check-in emails and texts were excessive.
It was a bit unclear to me if the breakfast was free, but it was nice that they had the option, and the hotel was excellent value for money. It was very clean and the shower soaps were nice. The tea/coffee station was a bonus!

LebanonThere is a train station that passes under my room so it was noisy. Cleaning was offered at an extra fee, and amenities are limited.
Nice hotel, clean and new rooms. Despite the size of the room, it doesn't feel small.

United StatesThe way too complicated reservation system. I am close to 80 and not tech savy. I travel without a phone. I have been doing it for decades and never felt the need for one. Yet, Sonder thinks you will have one and wants to text instead of providing an option for email. And the person I spoke to over the phone when I was reserving acted as if he were having a bad day. Who needs that? I almost canceled. On the other hand, when I emailed from Paris with questions about access to the Henry upon arrival at the door in London, the experience was the exact opposite. Shiloh was the customer service rep everyone wants--knowledgeable, friendly, understanding, supportive, exceeding expectations.
Breakfast facilities provided in room were good. I wake up early--before pubs, cafes, and the breakfast room are open, So, I appreciate the coffee, creamer, etc. that is in the room.

United KingdomMy room was a bit too small, if i had known this i would have likely booked a larger room; thankfully though it was only myself staying for a 2 day conference so it was okay in the end. Cleaning isn’t provided. You have to pay an extra £25 per day. They did however provide extra towels etc for my two night stay so i didnt need this. If you’re staying for 2 i would suggest a larger room but overall happy and would stay again if i need to attend the same conference
Location of the hotel was great as i was staying for a conference. Many restaurants etc nearby. Bed was very comfortable and shower was clean, hot and powerful. Staff were 24/7, friendly and helpful. Extra amenities available in reception. Fresh crosissants available to buy from the counter in the lobby downstairs. Nice seating area downstairs. Overall happy with my stay and would stay again

United KingdomRooms were very small, but pleasant. Breakfast was odd, paid for separately, and sat eating it on our knees as there were no tables to sit at. Reception staff sat at a desk by the entrance sat on their mobile phones most of the time.
Location was close to an event we were attending.

NetherlandsThe rooms were a bit small in size. Furthermore, cleaning of the room was only offered for an extra fee, and the amenities were quite limited as the hotel only had an independent coffee bar downstairs. However, there are plenty of stores en restaurants around to get what you need.
Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful decor, extremely comfortable bed and really nice bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay and it was perfect for a 4 day trip. The staf helped me out with several requests and was very helpful overall. The location is also perfect to reach several parts of London, including Notting Hill, Hyde park and you can easily get to areas like Mayfair and Soho with the central line. I will be back next time I come to London!

IsraelThey do not provide room cleaning, only after a week of stay- if you want cleaning you need to pay for it. The room was a bit small and there were no hangers for towels/ clothes. The price was a bit too much for what you're getting.

FinlandThe room didn't match with the pictures in the reservation (lacking sofa, look&feel and furniture was much more basic and uglier than in the pictures), which was a big disappointment and made the stay less comfortable as the only place to sit was the bed. I wish I had known/been told that it is possible to get a mini refrigerator to the room.
Sonder the Henry is located in a fantastic neighbourhood (beautiful properties, quiet and safe, close proximity to Hyde Park) with excellent connections (Bayswater, Queensway and Lancaster Gate tube stations and busses close by). The property is nice with contemporary style furniture, though the common facilities are quite small. Beautiful, big walk-in shower and nice amenities, comfortable beds. Nice breakfast selection served downstairs for small extra cost. Self service with regards to emptying your bin, getting toilet paper, etc., cleaning and new clean towels cost extra. This was clearly communicated when making the reservation. The best part of the hotel is the very friendly and helpful staff!

United Arab EmiratesToilet paper stand holder was broken. Although I informed about it upon my arrival and the staff suggested to send maintenance/housekeeping staff but as I could not wait for the staff to come by I just told the staff just don’t charge me for it as I am not the one who is responsible for this broken toilet holder stand. I really think it should have been repaired or replace it with new holder stand before guest’s arrival. Also, although I understand that hotels in general in London are very expensive, I still think that daily service or upon guests’ request for new towels should be provided for free. I was very surprised and disappointed that there was no pair of slippers. After a shower it is so uncomfortable to put our shoes on again which is not very clean and comfortable. At least hotel should inform guest’s what’s not included precisely… I had to keep the black curtains closed all the time as there were cold air leak from outside all day long despite the heater. I suggest some windows adjustment need to be done especially for the cold season.
Location & felt safe even traveling solo.

AustraliaIt was a bit draughty but this had been taken into account with the curtains. I would have liked a small refrigerator in the room. The staff reception area was too small for the number of staff who were busy. Although the hotel is trying to introduce codes for all access it was obvious that friendly and helpful staff are still needed.
The staff were very welcoming and the hotel was beautifully done. The toiletries were fantastic and my room was spacious and had a view over the street. The location was good for the west end, and parks. The area is quiet and green and very walkable.

Saudi ArabiaHere’s what happened and I did not like:- There was a beeping noise from a maintenance panel right next to our (first room-king room) where we spent the first 5 nights, and it was very disturbing at night for it was clearly heard inside the room. We did report the issue multiple times, and each time someone was sent to fix it right away and without a delay, but it would silence for few hours only and come back again afterwards. The hotel staff informed me that this issue will need a sort of special maintenance to be fixed and therefore offered moving us to a different room, but we did not want to do so because it would have been a lower room category than ours, and mainly because we did not want to hustle in packing & moving. Eventually we went along with the beeping & played some sleeping music at night. I also have to mention that because of the above inconvenience, the hotel staff compensated us and gave us free cleaning, late check-out and early check-in into our next room when we decided to extend Even though the act of the compensation was nice as a professional recovery, but we honestly did not see it as a fair compensation to such major inconvenience, but we never commented because we liked everything else in the hotel. I should also mention that there were no panels next to the following rooms we stayed in; thus no beeping noise.
Neighborhood:- -Nearby Facilities within 2-20 min walking distance, that includes groceries, laundries, medical center, a park, restaurants, and multiple transportation facilities. -Quiet neighborhood -Clean neighborhood -Safe neighborhood (Based on our personal experience/observation) Generally, for those who does not like to settle in the middle of highly active areas, but at the same time be able to reach them in a timely manner when desired, this hotel’s location is outstanding. ============= Accommodation:- - Clean - Mostly Quite - Safe (Based on our personal experience/observation) - Having sonder application for all our needs was very nice. - Reachability of staff was excellent - Staff were friendly and were always present at the reception for any help needed.
