How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Loved my stay but when I connected the blow dryer provided by the service, it started smoking.
Loved how comfortable the rooms are. Location is close to the city centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

The apartment was dusty and needed hoovering and moping, also we brought food to cook but there was no oven.
The apartment was fine and the facilities along with the location.

Parking was disappointing as they said we are fully booked and outside street which is from from 6pm to 8am was full

Nothing that I did not like on this occasion or my last passion I am fully impressed 👍🏾 with Staycity try it for yourself if you get a chance.. Staycity Aparthotel is located in some of tourist most visited places.
I liked the well equipped gym, I liked the location, how tidy it was , I liked the sofa bed , I liked the kitchen and bedroom orgasation and room format, I liked the fact that Staycity Aparthotel is central so I could get to city centre with my family and to Church without no issues and also they are a lot of restaurants in the surrounding areas and supermarkets too. The staff were all so polite and helpful too. I booked in 2019 now in 2924 I look forward to booking again as all my expectations were met Thank God and it was worth the money too

Basic necessities like shower gel, bath gel needs to be toped up before every new guest, a carpet at the living room would be nice

The water noise from the canal behind the hotel.
Nice and cosy little apartment with kettle and nespresso coffee maker with the pods, tea coffee and milk included, fully fitted kitchen with microwave too😊 not far from the city centre .

The security on the night time was a bit rude with the other Asian lady who we guess is the manager on reception.They both could do with some customer service training on being more polite . And remember being kind to customers is important .If Celia wasn't there I might not have felt as comfortable.
The apartment was nice, Celia the Spanish lady on reception is lovely and they are lucky to have her . Celia would work well in the Manchester staycity too ,as her kind personality would suit both apartment places .

We couldn’t work out how to use the coffee machine and there were no instructions

Very well equipped flat, provided everything I needed for a one night business trip. The kitchen facilities were better than I expected, and I could have easily been there for several days, able to cook, wash clothes, etc.

I booked Staycity for the first time as it's location to the Utilita Arena was in walking distance only 10 minutes. Also it's only a 10 minutes walk from New Street station, so no taxis were needed. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Are apartment room was utterly brilliant, full working kitchenette with dishwasher, plus tea and coffee available. Our bedroom was of a good size, very comfortable bed, and good size walk-in shower. I can't fault anything, excellent value for money 😀

Staff knocked on my door twice and disturbed me. Once to look at the table, which was fine. The other when I had booked two extra hours.

Could promote the Stay cafe more. No menu, no info, not sure what breakfast was? Just a set price for …. No idea what. When I asked I was told pancakes. We went somewhere else.
Great location for Utilita Arena. A lovely 5 minute walk along the canal to restaurants and bars. Secure shuttered parking. Comfy bed, tv, kitchen, coffee machine, all you need for a weekend break. Staff were all polite, smiling, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A 5 minute drive from the M6 so an easy drive/ location. Would recommend and will definitely stay next time.

They made me pay again even so i had paid on booking.com meaning i paid double for the room and am currently trying to get my money owed back but its a slow process
