How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The Apartment differed from the Photos, we were expecting a large Open Plan Apartment with a larger Balcony. We had a Lounge/Dining Area with a separate Kitchen, but that said they were all very clean and comfortable and didn’t affect our stay/trip.
The Location (to Duxford IWM) the bedrooms, having an en suite, a clean kitchen and lounge, having a balcony.

One minor point only - a mirror in the single bedroom would be helpful please. I wanted a mirror near a plug to use my hairdryer/straighteners and the only place that had this was the main bedroom.
Clean, comfortable and spacious. Basic food and drink supplies (tea, coffee, butter, milk, jam, bread, pasta, pasta sauce) provided at no extra cost. Easy parking right by apartment.

Everything was good , children’s playground out the front but not really noisy .
It was perfect , a lift so my elderly mum didn’t have to use stairs . We had our own room and bathroom each . Spotless and comfortable and near to park and ride and not to far drive into Cambridge .

Spotlessly clean. Looked very new. Modern and uncluttered. excellent decor. Thoughtful food basket left with bread, tea. coffee pasta and a sauce. Exceeded expectations.

There were racing kids late night over the street, the room doesn’t seem to have good noise protection, I could not sleep for a few nights

Overall nice, clean and modern property. We were able to check in at a time that was convenient to us and the host was very helpful. Appreciated the little touches - butter and jam, shower toiletries etc.

This place is so clean and tidy. Ed is super nice. He has provided us some jams , butter, milk and orange juice which we have not expected.

Clean, comfortable apartment suitable for family of 3, with parking and only a 23 minute bus ride from the city centre. After full day out in Cambridge, this is a nice place to come back to, to cook and relax in. Smart TV has Netflix, Prime, Disney+ ITVx and many other channels.

Kitchen wear and tear, walls were a bit dirty, needed a repaint, there was a damp leak mark on the kitchen ceiling from the apartment above. Kitchen crockery/pots and pans/glasses needed replenishing - only 1 wine glass, only 2 champagne glasses, only 1 teaspoon, no cork screw. There was an ice bucket but not enough pans/oven trays to cook pizza and chips for tea, which was a bit disappointing.
Location was excellent. Apartment was very good. Staff (Will) was extremely nice and very helpful when we had a couple of minor issues. Central Heating was left on so the apartment was warm, especially in the cold weather.

Property really close to bus route into Cambridge. Apartment was well equipped and spacious. Welcome pack was a great wee touch.

Even though the bedding, the towels and property were very clean in general, certain parts appeared not have been cleaned carefully for some time. For example there were some hairs on the carpet in the living room and the spider webs in a few corners. But overall it did affect too much our stay.
The landlord was thoughtful for the complimentary breakfast for the first day. The whole development feels calm and save. Location is greet.

The blinds in the property are low quality and made a lot of noise when we kept windows and door open due to extreme heat in the UK.

Everything good except they could do with table and chairs on balcony .
Modern . 2 bathrooms. Plenty of everything required . Parking no problem. There was a lift and easy accessed.
