How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

the flat is in an amazing location- near to British Museum, in Covent Garden. Despite being busy, it is quiet at night so resting very comfortable 3 beds is no problem- good sleep guaranteed. There is space for 5 and especially in the living room that is big. We were so pleased with welcoming Paul, who is a great owner. Very caring, thoughtful and helpful. Air conditioning is a big plus in hot weather and shower with unlimited water and good pressure is what a group of large 5 adults may need. Everything is as described

booked last minute but everything went smooth- self check in, easy instructions and great communication with Paul. The flat is well located in area that we felt safe and relaxed in. We slept well on 3 comfortable beds. Air conditioning works well, spacious shower with plenty hot water. Living room is designed to fit 5 guests easily, even little ones. Terrace is perfect for kids to play on.

Cannot thank Paul enough for the last minute booking, due to no trains unexpectedly running from Kings Cross, overnight accommodation was required. Paul was so helpful and supportive, the apartment was lovely, clean and comfortable

Paul is honest host and very generous. He offered us extra discount after we booked for being good guests. Remember to ask him for extra discounts. Otherwise this flat is superb. Nice living room, terrace. Spacious rooms. Clean and very comfortable, new beds (mattresses)

Clean, big spaces, well looked after. Quiet flat fits 5 guests. Full cooking facilities provided and living room or even balcony has space to eat meals, relax or watch TV. Shower has good water flow. This lovely 2 bedroom flat is in the middle of Covent Garden. While veing in a top location is is quiet, family friendly, spacious and safe. Kitchen has all facilities family may need. Stove, coffee machine, fridge and microwave are among many available. Bathroom is fresh and clean with good pressure of hot water that does not run out. It has toiletries for women as face washes, face wipes and even make up remover. Both bedrooms have comfortable beds. Terrace is just amazing. Air conditioning and heating work well.

As the apartment is on the first floor above Drury Lane obviously there will be ambient sound penetration - so if this is an issue for potential guests concerned about their sleep, we would advise bringing earplugs, etc. There were some in the flat in case you forget, as I did!
The apartment is in a perfect location in the epicentre of the West End. It is the best equipped and stocked premises we have ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable and the flat was very well maintained. Communication with the host was quick, efficient and helpful. There is a small well-stocked convenience store below. We hope that we will be able to book it again in the future!
