The bar and lobby waiting areas are beautiful but the seating needs an upgrade. It has warn out furniture that is sunken in and difficult to sit in and get out of. The reception person had poor English speaking skills and it was hard communicating with her. We had to wait for our exact check in time with no consideration for an overnight flight and early arrival, but they did keep our bags while we went to a park and Churchhill's War Room. They said they would call when the room was ready, but never did. The service seemed less attentive than last July. There were times when there was no doorman out front. The Asian restaurant across the street always had trash scattered about, making the area look bad. There are quite a few steps you need to ascend to enter the hotel, so a heads up to people who cannot climb stairs. Also, the tub/shower is one with the half shower door. It is hard for a short person to step in and out of. Water gets splashed on the floor outside the tub. The staff did not seem asnhappy on this visit compared to our last visit. Sadly, we never got the Madelines in the room this time.

This was our third time staying here. The location is walking distance to the British Museum, TK Max, Soho and many other places. Dinner on the terrace was great. The room was clean.

One thing which I didn’t like was when I was checking out and I saw they had added a discretionary charge for cleaning of your room which was £25 per day. I was a little vexed about this. I questioned what it was and was told it’s to help the staff out. I said a room at £425+ a night there should be more than enough room to pay staff accordingly and shouldn’t again be passed onto guests. I felt I had paid enough for my four nights which was in excess of £2000. I asked for the charge to be removed as I didn’t agree with it. Having your room cleaned is part of the Hotel experience.

The location of the Property is excellent. You have the Tube stations less than 2 mins walk which gives you access to London and the wider area like Heathrow. Rooms were really nice, staff were amazing there. You can see they take pride in their work. Maria the host during the Breakfast service was lovely.

My cozy bedroom was too cozy in a way. All is fine, but moving around in the bathroom was very awkward.

The location is superb for my getting to all the places I needed to be in under ½ hour - and great ease to get to Gatwick. Moreover, the staff is super service oriented, friendly, thoughtful.

I forgot an electric toothbrush in the room, and was disappointed to hear that no one found it. The room was very small compared to the high cost

The hotel staff was very helpful when I needed it. The hotel's proximity to the Elizabeth Line, which is so convenient to get to and from the airport, makes the stay easier In any case, thanks to manager Asif Shalem

The staff at the hotel was so helpful and gracious. Our room was beautiful and very quiet. All of our questions were answered in a meaningful way. We would happily stay at the Bloomsbury the next time we're in London and would recommend it to anyone who wants an exceptional experience.

A coat hanger near tthe door would come handy!

We loved the place: the staff is friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked and pamepring. We really appreciated the bottles of milk for the coffee - such an upgrade! Many wrote here before me about the location, and it is indeed fantastic: so central and yet in a quiet alley, no noise from the street, plenty of restaurants around, easy access to transportation... Perfect!

The location is excellent! You're in the middle of the city walking distance to Convent Garden, Picadilly, Regent Street etc. But the hotel itself is quiet and cozy. Speaking of cozy I did book the cozy room for myself which was absolutely fab. And I guess for London standards it was quite big. Would be a bit too cozy for my taste to share with someone. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very kind, friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again!
