I arrived just before 9pm. Unfortunately I was too late to eat from the menu. Also early morning was very noisy outside . Oh BTW I couldn't find how to switch any of the lights on 🤦‍♀️

I loved the place. My room was perfect, location fabulous, right by the river. Had a lovely late night walk by the river, felt safe by myself. Staff were really nice and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer.

The two single beds had been made into a double, probably a misunderstanding as we had requested a twin room. The bed was large enough that this wasn’t an issue. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

The location was excellent, close to shops and attractions, but peaceful and quiet at night. The restaurant was good with riverside views and the food was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome.

The cleanliness in the bathroom sink wasn't very nice and the chrome plate where the buttons are to flush the loo kept falling off. The adhesive was worn away and no longer holding it in place.

Excellent location and excellent staff. The restaurant was first class as always. Lovely views and peaceful. So nice to sit out on the deck with a drink.

We could hear the people in the room next door when they were in the bathroom.

The location on the river was fabulous. It was just quick walk into town and then we came back via walking on the wall and then on the path by the river. It was absolutely freezing when we were there and we were so happy there was a roaring fire and very good restaurant on site with a great view of the rowers on the river. The breakfast was very good too.

Room had nowhere to put suitcase or hang coats. No full length hanging space. Had to move armchair to get to wardrobe. Only one bedside table. Tea making area awkward and needs more light . The pub itself gave bad first impression by having unpleasant toilets.

Location is fantastic. Parking onsite is rare treat in central Chester. Bed was enormous and shower was fabulous. Housekeeping staff were cheerful and helpful.

A nice 10 min walk along the river to Chester city centre. Room large and comfortable with a good selection of drinks and biscuits, plus 2 bottles of water. Great choice on the breakfast menu, generous portions. We also ate at the restaurant and again food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Really clutching at straws here, but the room was quite hot and stuffy. However, it was a very warm day and was rather lovely to sit with the patio door open to cool down a bit. It definitely wouldn't put me off returning.

The staff were all so pleasant and helpful, we really couldn't fault them! The room itself was really well appointed with a comfortable bed, clean, well-equipped bathroom and a really nice seating area. The lighting options were really handy too. The floating beer garden looked fab, but the rain got in the way of our plans for a relaxing evening drink overlooking the river. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying it then.

The first night was noisy till 3am but that was because this woman either arguing or talking very loud, but that wasn't the fault of the establishment.

The room was spotless,the bar and restaurant is a few yards away with an amazing outdoor terrace,the food was excellent and not too far to walk into Chester,and parking virtually outside the accommodation, I'm not sure of her name (could be Sally) but she was excellent.

The room was a bit warm. Fan was provided but didn't want this on overnight due to the noise. Tv signal in the room wasn't great.

Lovely room, decory great and comfy bed. Good facilities with filter coffee a nice touch. Good wifi. Very close to the river in a quiet setting but close to the town and attractions. All the staff were great, helpful efficient and happy. Food in the restaurant overlooking the river was excellent. Breakfast had a great variety, good quality and cooked well.

Nothing not to like.

Clean and comfortable and in lovely location by the river. About a 10 minute stroll into town through either the park or along the river bank. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
