We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Excellent service asked for an ice bucket which was brought to our room straight away with lots of ice. Cases where stored away before check in, staff where very friendly and helpful. Coffee tray was very well stocked , water was especially helpful as it was a hot weeend Beds where comfy , can’t recommend it highly enough , very good value for money

Location was brilliant, approximately a 5 minute walk to both the city centre and to the canal. Staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful, excellent customer service. Our room was very clean with everything you would need and the bed was really comfortable. Our evening meals and breakfasts were plentiful, tasty and fantastic value for money. We will definitely be staying again.

Brilliant city centre location. Reasonably priced car park next door. The twin room was a good size, warm and comfy beds. Great en-suite shower and plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Staff were fantastic! Ruth and her colleague were so helpful and good humoured when we had an issue with the air conditioning which was actually my issue for accidentally turning it on at night! Restaurant staff were good natured, super efficient and well organised even at the busiest times. Very impressive and huge thanks to the chefs and all the kitchen staff - food was lovely.

United KingdomThe novelty of having a weathies just downstairs for a cheeky last orders pint, quick coffee or off-the-menu snack is an unrivalled experience. The location is excellent for the Chester shopping and not far at all from the race course. So close to the Roman wall for a scenic stroll. Staff are awesome. Cleaners so nice and full of smiles. When we got there the payment system was down. They promptly put me on a mobile phone to exchange my card details. I've recently had fraud on my account and I did not feel secure doing this in the middle of a busy service. I was asked if I was comfortable doing this but my answer "no..." was not of any interest to the individual checking me in. This was the only point I felt a little disatsified. That was the only negative. In that moment, (and that moment only to be fair), it made me feel like it's a pub first and foremost and the hotel is a bit is an annoying side project. Not the best introduction, but what can you do. Could have done more to accommodate the situation and it then would be 5 stars all round from us. Maybe listen to my answer, take me somewhere quiet. After that though the whole experience was great! Keep your expectations grounded in terms of noise levels, the location dictates a loud city center in the morning, sirens on the main roads early hours, and a happy crowd on the streets chatting after closing time. You are staying in a pub. Can't complain. Join in. Would book again. Would recommend for a night or two, making Chester accessible to those of us on a budget. Thanks to the staff. And friendly people around Chester for making our trip feel special. P.S. Would have loved a last drink lock in for hotel guests, one for the suggestions box. 😆
