Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandGreat place in Brick Lane, close to Sunday Market. Great breakfast, you can order from the menu. Fresh, good quality. Room was small but enough for 3 nights. We had a great time with my daughter. I would recommend with no doubt. Super nice terrace on the roof with small garden of herbs:) supportive staff.

United KingdomCouldn’t sleep as the bed was extremely uncomfortable.
The Buxton is a fantastic spot and I would stay here again if the bed was more comfortable. I think the springs in the mattress were broken as there was a huge dip in the bed which made sleeping very difficult for my partner and I. The breakfast was lovely and the staff amazingly friendly and helpful. I can’t fault everything else

SwedenThe only thing is that I could point out is that it is a bit noisy at night but for me it didn’t really matter since i found it add to the london atmosphere (+ they hand you earplugs if you want to use those)
Me and my boyfriend stayed 11th of May to 13th of May. Everything was great! The building, restaurant and rooms are very cozy and clean. The food was really amazing! (ex. the duck, panise and mutton chops). The staff was very friendly too and the hotel is just around the corner near a trainstation so it is easy to travel around and because of that it was easy to connect to London Heathrow, Elizabeth line or Uber. We found it helpful to buy the train tickets to the airport beforehand. Thank you! I wished we could have stayed longer :-)

United KingdomNot a dislike, but without a lift, if you are placed on an upper floor you just need to be prepared with luggage.
Stylish, no nonsense, with great staff, products, and inclusive breakfast. A great option for a solo or short stay in the city.

United KingdomThe room was a little cramped.
Breakfast was great; lovely atmosphere in the evening too. In hindsight, I wouldn't have asked for a 'quiet' room as I think this meant the space was a little smaller than I'd hoped. But still, excellent location for work and great one night stay really.

RomaniaThe bathroom was tiny. It was a bit inconvenient to take a douche, making the whole floor wet. Also, there was no work desk as expected in hotels with bigger rooms. Maybe they have such space, but in my case, I didn't have any necessity in it. It wasn't a downgrade for me, but maybe for some this info is important.
Even if the rooms were smaller than we expected, it was very clean and comfortable. Don’t expect much to see in a room. It has only the necessary things and a bit more, like daily fresh water supply, warm blankets, and jazz radio. The breakfast exceeded all our expectations. Try French toast and avocado toast. The pastry is of a good quality. Unexpectedly they have one of the best coffees we tried in London. Usually, the hotels make economy on beverages, but not them. The restaurant is pet friendly but not the hotel, so don’t get confused or angry when they will not allow you to stay with pets. Worth the money!

United KingdomSoundproofing in the room was quite bad. The hotel did provide earplugs and we slept ok but traffic noise can be an issue for light sleepers. The room and bathrooms are very small - we were staying only for 1 night so it was ok, but longer stay could be more difficult.
Room was pretty and clean and the location of the hotel is handy, near the tube station. It's upstairs of a pub but you couldn't hear this in the room. Breakfast was great, options from the menu, so overall the price-value ratio was excellent.

United KingdomUnfortunately we could hear a lot of noise from the street and the bar, as we were on the first floor. This would have been expected in the evenings, and we were prepared for that, but I woke up to hear loud music being played in the bar before 7am! We also didn't like the glass sliding door on the bathroom. There was very little privacy.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. They made us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious. The bed was super comfy. Teas and coffees provided in the room were very nice. Very close to a tube station.

Czech RepublicI expected more based on the reviews, but don't mind me, I am spoilt😁 The rooms are tini tiny, no privacy behind glass bathroom door. The dead plants on the stairway should really go. We were not explained what we can have from the breakfast menu, but we were happy with 1 item in the end. We would definitely come again.
Amazing locality right on Brick Lane, not far from Sky Garden, Gherkin oř the Tower. Many gems to explore around! Clean, easy to check in even after hours, with a decent breakfast (fresh juice, yum). Good communication prior to arrival.
