I could hear the people in the rooms both sides of me but both were courteous and were quiet when it got late. Could be an issue if you're a light sleeper.

Much to our delight this hotel has been refurbished. Our bedroom was quiet, spacious and spotless. Comfortable bed, brilliant lighting and I particularly liked the Scandi style furniture. Our en-suite had a Wow factor! Breakfast, the cold buffet was tastefully laid out with hot dishes cooked to order. Staff, polite helpful and friendly.

The cost was quite high, given the fairly small room, but still competitive for Skye, where prices generally have risen as the demand at the moment is high. The decor was neutral - nothing to dislike, but a picture or two on the wall would be nice.

Great location in Portree - handy for everything. Breakfast was excellent, served in their attractive dining area, with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.

The staff, in particular Thomas, were incredible! So kind, attentive, and thoughtful. Great size room with a delicious breakfast included. Excellent location in Portree with parking included and a grocery store around the corner. Comfortable beds & drying room available for wet gear.

The place was clean and very warm at our arrival. Personal was very kind, the receptionist warmly welcomed us and provided all the info needed. We had the breakfast included, for one night we paid around 40£ each (group of three), an honest price. In terms of rooms they are tidy, clean but a bit minimalist. There are just few products inside for personal care and it would have been appreciated to have some drinks in the room (water, soft drinks). Overall, a an enjoyable experience!

The hotel suited us really well and there are only two potential downsides I can think of. The first is the limited parking, which is on a first-come-first-served basis. However, it looks like all hotels in Portree would either have limited or no parking. The second potential downside is noise from the street outside when people are leaving pubs but you have to balance this with the hotel's central location. It was only a couple of brief episodes of noisy tourists outside and not enough to keep you up all night by any means, but if someone is looking for a VERY quiet stay they might prefer a quieter street or staying outwith Portree.

Managed to book this 'last minute' (the week before) when accommodation elsewhere fell through and glad we did. Staff were extremely welcoming. Breakfast was brilliant with great choice of foods. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Excellent location in centre of Portree.

In areas it’s very dated, especially the stair carpet and hall way carpet, but it’s clean which is the main thing.
