Could have been more in the kitchen to cook with, for example there was no baking trays to put pizza in the oven and needed more pans to cook breakfast, also would have been nice to have a couple of bin liners available in the lodge for rubbish. Also there was no small vacuum/ sweeping brush to have a bit more of a tidy round. But apart from that it was lovely.

The lodge was large with plenty space. We were only there 2 nights but plenty comfort to stay for longer period.

Do wish there was a little park on side for kids to enjoy, they should also have a welcome pack which states how to use heating ect.

I liked how it was relaxing, well presented. Me and my daughter loved the hot tub!

Allerthorpe Country Park is outstanding. Lovely safe space to walk the dog with lovely surroundings. The Crucible was 5 star and had everything we needed and more. The hot tub is a bonus. Jj's is worth a visit too. Nice and relaxing for a quiet drink and exceptional menu for food.

It’s didn’t have a hoover so couldn’t hoover up while was there other then that it’s was good place to stay

Communication direct to property via booking.com was non existent. I tried on numerous occasions to contact them to ask a question but never had a reply. Even contacted booking.com who responded immediately and they contacted the property and they couldn’t get a reply. In the end, I googled the actual park found a phone number and they did answer the phone. So that was a bit of an unnecessary complication. Cutlery in lodge was a bit of a mish mash. There was a plastic fork and a small baby fork instead of 6 adult size. That was a bit annoying. I would say 4 people could comfortably stay in lodge not 6 as we did. The pull out bed in lounge was extremely uncomfortable. When we stripped the double bed at the end of our stay theyre we’re stains on mattress. That wasn’t a nice experience.

Location was great. Hot tub was fab. Although, at times, as the temperature was automatically set - it was too hot to enjoy so you could only manage 5 minutes and you would have to get out. The decor was modern and inviting. Parking was handy right next to lodge. Everything was convenient.

The 1st night heating wouldn’t work so we was all absolutely freezing then it came on at 1am to 29degrees so was physically sick due to heat so had to turn boiler off as wouldn’t go off. The hot tub was absolutely disgusting it was horrid when we actually got in and seen the bits and crap floating around and on top we was mortified, we even took a video so we could show it if needed. so we never went back in the hot tub after this even though that was part of the booking we had made for my husbands 40th birthday.

it was missing a few basics and some things weren’t working properly/ broken. (lights in kitchen not working, no pizza cutter, tray in oven really dirty and caused a lot of smoke in the oven, bin abnormally small, no towels for hot tub, dirty linen left inside the front door from previous stay?

The restaurant food was terrible. Ordered a steak which came dry and cold. The wife was vegetarian and they didn't have veggie gravy to go with veggie sausages.. Meals on the menu came different to what was advertised. For a park with expensive lodges you'd expect a lot better food than frozen stuff warmed up.

Although we paid for 5 people, when we got there, the sofa bed which was meant for the 5th person, Wasn’t made up at all, and the bedding wasn’t even left out. We had to search for it all over the lodge. Considering the 5th person paid for their place this didn’t seem acceptable. Also they took our deposit for damages by mistake instead of the lodge next door. Took a good week to get it back!
