A lovely place, so pleased I found this gem, loved the room, the location and hosts were fantastic.

Comfortable, spotless accommodation. Lovely touches such as fresh Danish, fruit and other welcome treats. (a toaster may be an idea for future) Di and Dave were exceptional hosts.

There was nothing we didn’t like, but we would prefer bath sheets to bath towels. This wouldn’t stop us from returning though!

Very peaceful location. Super clean and well maintained. Good selection for continental breakfast in rooms. The owners were very friendly. The garden space is lovely. It’s just a stroll from a charming village pub which serves good food.

Good quality in room continental breakfast provided. The decorative standard of the room was outstanding. Good quality and comfortable furnishings. Very beautiful surroundings in the heart of countryside on the edge of a pretty small village. The rooms are in lovely well kept grounds adjacent to the historic Shape Castle. Friendly helpful hosts.

The TV is off-centre for viewing but we didn't watch it so it was not detrimental to our stay.

A delightfully warm welcome; excellent continental breakfast provision; very comfortable room: we could not have wished for better for our mini-break. Very quiet, rural position with history on the doorstep - Katherine Parr lived at the Castle (now mostly a ruin and not accessible) and the chapel (accessible) evoked memories of the history of that era. What a find this was. We will certainly return.

I really appreciated the extra effort the owmers went to to accommodate for the fact that I have coeliac disease. They provided a variety of gluten free foods for breakfast. Both of us (partner is non-coeliac) enjoyed our in-room continental breakfasts. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and warm, a pleasure to come back to after a day out.

Nothing, all good, if I were to be picky, there was no shaver charging point, but that’s a minor issue.

Everything, the hosts were excellent and made us feel very welcome. The property was spotlessly clean and has excellent amenities, the breakfast set up is absolutely perfect, no need to rush around in the morning.

Beautiful location in castle grounds Rooms all have adjoining gardens beautifully manicured. Rooms spotless!! Very Covid aware. Every thing thought of Lovely decor super bed and bedding (very important) to us. Gorg powerful rain shower all in all fairness. Hats off to Dave and his wife. We will be back!!
