I don’t have any negative comments.

We booked a upgraded room, the room and bathroom were very spacious. The breakfast choices were very good, food hot and cooked to order. The room was very clean and the daily housekeeping great too. The staff were very welcoming and service very good. A easy flat walk to the city, we visited the Railway Museum, the Art Gallery, did some shopping and ate out at The Raj restaurant, The Ivy for lunch, Drakes Fish and Chip Restaurant and Corner Grill House for steak. All very good.

Room leaked on first day/night. Was pricey really for what it was.

Very nice freshly cooked breakfast but shortage of alternatives to cooked breakfast i.e. no pastries or similar. Room was very sizeable and perfect for what we needed. Located on periphery of York and in quiet street.

The bathroom was a little tight.

Great location with beautiful walks to the nearby centre. Very quiet street with excellent parking and a beautiful building. All very clean.

The shower was awful and you could feel the springs of the mattress all round the edge of the bed. If you slept away from the edge it was comfortable

The whole experience was excellent from checking in to checking out. Excellent breakfast with attentive service. Great location for a gentle stroll into York. Car parking is a real bonus too.

The location was perfect. Large clean room with excellent breakfast facilities. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay at York as it is only a short walk to the city centre.

Hoped for croissants for breakfast but still lovely.

Great location, close to York but on a quiet cul-de-sac. Staff were so friendly. The room was spacious and comfy. Safe off street parking for nominal fee.

Small thing but when the room was cleaned, dirty cups were not replaced and resupplied, an easy fix by asking at the front desk

Breakfast was not as varied as some similar places I have stayed - some fruit and pastries would have been nice. Surprisingly inflexible with the menu items (first place I've ever stayed that refused to swap one menu item on the cooked breakfast) and the portions were not huge, but it was freshly cooked. Breakfast service was a little chaotic as they have quite a few more rooms than space in the breakfast room, so quite a few people had to wait a while for a table.

Peaceful and charming setting but still very convenient for the city centre, well equipped room and very clean. Staff were very friendly and the bar area is lovely and prices are very reasonable.

The B & B York was very central to most of the areas of interest, an easy walk to the old town of York which was very handy ! The breakfast room was well organised and the staff were more than helpful !

Furniture and furnishings were a little dated

Lovely venue - staff were really friendly and attentive, room was clean and comfortable with ample tea and coffee, breakfast was excellent with good choice (I enjoyed the full english, eggs Benedict and breakfast roll over the 3 days), the bar was a welcome retreat of an evening with a decent selection of beers and wines, and all within 10 minutes walk of the city centre!
