Excellent food on location, finding the carpark was a bit complicated, ut our own fault as we didnt read the email with the instructions to find it properly, the only thing was the beds, it´s like a water bed - if your partner moves you move as well :)

There were just a couple of minor details that didn't detract from our stay, but didn't make much sense either, such as no teaspoons at breakfast and single serving pots of jam and marmalade, but no bread or toaster anywhere to be seen. Other than that, the drains were a bit slow when in the shower, so it nearly overflowed, but this is to be expected with old buildings and I got it flowing again by slapping the drain hole the dislodge the blockage.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and inviting, and the prices were good. Will definitely be back next time I stay in Swindon.

The morning cleaner /breakfast waitress was somewhat abrupt telling me i was 3 minutes early for breakfast .....

Staff were very freindly at the reception and bar. Food was excellent and the whole experience was a pleasure.

The shower leaked all over the floor unfortunately, the bedroom carpet next to the he bathroom was a bit wet when we arrived so obviously a recurring issue.

Beautiful building, great pub and atmosphere, breakfast really tasty and room comfortable and not as loud as expected. Everyone very friendly.

The only issue was the large industrial extractor fan about 10 feet away outside our window (room 19) which was on all night and was really loud. Not a lot the hotel can do but it must be an issue for others who have stayed in that room and as the hotel wasn’t full I’m surprised we were out in there.

We were hoping to do a bit of dancing in the disco, but there were so many people there there wasn't room to move.

Recently refurbished room was very clean and comfortable. Food was really good both in the evening and at breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a bit of noise from the bar but not as much as we expected and it didn't affect our sleep.

Small issue with the shower which was reported so I believe will be sorted before the next resident of the room.

Excellent place to eat and the breakfast is first class. Staff and locals very friendly and welcoming. The location is ideal for other local bars and restaurants should you wish to explore.

My only criticism was the beans on the breakfast were cold and the mushroom was like shoe leather, staff didn’t ask how the food was and I didn’t say, other than that small detail the stay was 10/10
