it does seem a bit unorganised at time the service cart had been abandoned in our door way when we got to our room. the tap was a bit wobbly and the noise from the gym ie running machine ,weights crashing to the floor at 7 o'clock in the morning isn't great .

I really like the nice big modern room with the couch to chill at , I also like the location next to the lake and great for a walk along the beach

We had 6 pillows in our room, all hard like breeze blocks, we ended up having to use towels. Doors slamming all through the night, finally stopped at 5.45am

Shame no aircon but fans provided . Mosquitos from the lake made opening windows not an option hence the room was insanely hot overnight .

The view from the room was probably the worst we've ever had (and we've had some bad views 😂) looking onto a scruffy rooftop ventilation? system that had rubbish thrown onto it. This definitely put a downer on the stay. The room was too warm and the stand up fan supplied in the room made no difference. As it's near a lake the outside area was swarmed with millions of mozzies (never seen so many outside of Scotland) and this made sitting outside after a certain time untenable. The lift was broken so had to carry luggage upstairs. No big deal usually but were just recovering from doing a marathon and the legs were tired. That said, if we ever needed to stay in Crosby again we might stay here, but would just see it as a place to lay our heads and not an experience in itself.

Great location, 5 minute walk from the Another Place installation and the lovely beach. The staff were nice and friendly and the room was spacious and clean. The sausage butty sat outside by the lake was just what we needed after doing the parkrun.

Few things needing fixed and tidying up and waited over an hour for food after ordering.

Beautiful setting! Loved eating tea watching the sunset over the water. Finding the beach a short walk away was a huge bonus!

The cleanliness of the hotel and rooms was notable, so too the attitude of the courteous staff. So pleased to also have a room to the front of the lake.

Bed sheet had pink stain like nail varnish. Couldn't control heating as far as I could tell. So used fan in January. Opening the window would have been a fail due to extreme winds off the Mersey. One lady at dinner service was a bit all over the place. Giving us the wrong menu, bit non communicative and dead set expression. Other staff were helpful and smiling.

The room size and location Breakfast and dinner was nice, discount offer added was great.

I expected there to be a thermostat in the room to alter the temperature to your individual preferred setting and it would have been ideal to have a remote control for the tele. There wasn’t one in the room so I had to figure out how to control the tv from one button though this did not dampen our overall stay at The Lake House :-)

We arrived late at night and was greeted by Wendy who was very friendly. When we got to the room the children were so excited they had bunk beds (originally I thought they were going to have a sofa bed). The room and bathroom were so spacious and our beds very comfortable. The hot chocolate was also very tasty and the Eggs Benedict for breakfast was very nice. We were attending the Liverpool v Norwich game on Sunday but it was great to see dogs are welcome as next time we will bring the dog for a different type of visit, in the summer :-)
