The room was lovely and exactly what we were hoping for, as soon as we left we said we’d definitely come back if we’re in Edinburgh again. If you’re looking to stay in the very centre of Edinburgh then it’s only a 10 minute drive away, we walked some days too. It was very quiet in the room and was also very dark with the curtains closed, even when it was light outside. Nice sized tv with Netflix for when we decided to stay inside. The shower was amazing too, easy to get the perfect temperature and had great power to it. We didn’t end up using it but the bathtub was huge too, would’ve been great to use if we spent longer there. Overall an amazing place and will be coming back.

The location was perfect for our visit to that part of the city and transport links were good.

The entire place was excellent. Our room was most comfortable and the bathroom was excellent with a walknin shower and a bath. Could not have been happier with everything. Staff in the pub were lovely and the food of a high standard. We will definitely be returning.

It would have been nice to have the option for breakfast included however this did not cause any issues for our trip.

The hotel was situated close to public transport (which was very easy to use). The room was clean and had all necessary facilities. The staff at the pub/hotel were very friendly and approachable.

Absolutely nothing, couldn't fault it

The cleanliness, the attention to detail, and the welcome. We had arrived at 4pm, and had tickets for the theatre, so getting ready and fitting in a pre theatre meal was nigh on impossible, the Canny Man to the rescue with tasty soup and a sandwich, allowing us to make post theatre dinner arrangements. Thanks a lot

The bed was very soft which wasn't our personal preference but if you like that kind of bed I'm sure you'll love it. Thermostat controls were very clunky and not responsive maybe some instructions in the welcome pack would be welcome. There was a series of beeps that happened every night at around midnight, which would be enough to wake you from your sleep we were awake normally so didn't affect us but hopefully they can sort that out.

Very good location, close to some great local cafes and restaurants. Buses into the city center are regular and take about 15 minutes. The room was very clean, a good size with a fantastic shower. The Wi-Fi was faultless and speedy during our whole stay.

Very small things. The bedside lights looked nice but took up a lot of space and it was hard to read in bed. A bit more choice of tea and coffee would have been nice. Behind the bathroom door hadn’t been swept. Mostly we were very happy though!

The staff went out of their way to make sure the stay was a great experience. The room was well stocked, and there were explanations on how to get around town as well as recommendations. Highly enjoyed my stay and recommend this place to anyone.

The room was extremely hot and not too easy to fathom the temperature control panel. The windows do open but the road noise was quite high whilst open.

Great location for our needs on this particular trip (morningside). The pub next door is brilliant too - The Canny Man. Supply of drinks: tea making facilities in the room very much appreciated. Great shower. Very near to lots of independent shops and nice cafes. Easy to catch the bus to Edinburgh.

The WiFi was dreadful and we didn’t get any phone reception. However, that’s it!

It felt like a mini luxury room! It was gorgeous. Beautiful aesthetics, gorgeous bathroom, underfloor heating and perfect room control.

One tip would be a small fridge in each room, to keep things cool. Another would be a way of stopping the bathroom door swinging wide open. A third would be having Netflix, Amazon Prime on the TV.

Convenient place to stay, with parking. Adjacent to excellent pub. Comfortable bed and bathroom.
