Great location - easily walkable into the centre of York. Beautiful, spacious property, immaculately clean. Plentiful, good quality kitchen equipment and all basics like tea, coffee, condiments provided - really helpful for a short stay. Julie was a friendly, helpful host - check in and out was easy and the welcome gift was lovely, thank you!

Enough space for the 5 of us, great location and the parking was a bonus. Communication from the owner and the offer of arriving early and parking the car up and leaving it after we'd checked out was welcome.

Being picky - a king or super-king bed in the master bedroom would have topped off an already amazing house. Unfortunately we found that the internet was not reliable though-out the property. As we were there to mainly explore York we managed, so again didn't detract from a great house.

It was very spacious, light, warm, welcoming. Practical - 3 toilets, space for everyone, well equipped kitchen and off street parking all a plus. It was very well kept and the greeting from the owner was very welcoming and helpful. Overall just a great place for a family.

Our host Julie gave us a complete tour around the house and during our stay was very responsive . House had all the kitchenware we needed to cook our own food and everything was very clean. All beds were comfy with clean sheets with extra ones in the cupboard. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

The only "complaint" was that the wifi didn't reach consistently through the entire property. But that was a minor point only.

Great location only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. The property is really spacious, comfortably warm and with everything you want in the kitchen. There is a huge amount of space so its easy to stay as a family without feeling we were too crowded in. Off-street parking was really handy as well, although you do need to be good at reversing to get in (and then out again) safely.

Spotlessly Clean! Warm and inviting-lighting and decor was very classy. Loved all the natural lighting as well during the day. Heated floors were welcome on tired feet. Towels soft and fluffy. Bedding warm and cozy. Especially loved details like touch lamps and charging ports on night stands-quality hair tools in drawer too. Bathrooms were great-spacious with window access. Kitchen perfectly equipped with nice, modern appliances. We found the location easy to walk around the city and amenities close by, but bus stop is very close to front door for those who need it. Also park across the street. Host was welcoming, informative and helpful. 100% recommend! Loved everything! No complaints!

We had a very pleasant stay. The apartment is spacious and nicely decorated. The concept of different levels was very useful and worked well for our family of 5. The little court yard is a nice future, although we didn't use it. The atic space was a bonus. The host is lovely and welcoming. Walking distance to the heart of York.

A quirky but practical house. A real home from home. Julie, the owner, was so welcoming - it was great to know she was just next door if needed. She keeps the place immaculate! Great location. The off road parking spot was a nice bonus.

The Light Well was a lovely self catering apartment.It was comfortable,clean,well equipped and had everything you needed and more.It was about 15 minutes walk into the city walls so was very well placed.Julie met us to show us round and was so helpful and was a fantastic host.You could easily stay for a week self catering as the kitchen had everything you could need including a slow cooker /washer and dryer

There is only one minor thing that would not affect my rating. We didn't use Wi-Fi because it was not password protected, and we had a bad experience in the USA with hackers. I am sure it was safe to use here, but we were extra cautious. The cable TV was fine, so I expected the internet to be fast.

Everything. The place was large and exactly as shown in the photos, even bigger and better. It was spotlessly clean. It was modern and had all the facilities we needed. It had cable TV and great sound equipment. The location was great, only a short walk to the city. We had a free car park. The host was the most helpful and available at any time.

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Really comfy beds, everyone slept well including my son on the sofa bed. Only a 10 minute walk into the centre. Off street parking was a real bonus too.
