Quite a lot of noise late on Saturday night. That couldn't be helped however .

Comfortable , warm rooms . Well appointed kitchen with every possible utensil. Very clean .well decorated . Donald welcomed us and was helpful when we had a query . Excellent location . Would definitely stay there again. A welcome food basket was great .

No private outside space - but I guess we're spoilt living in a rural place and not use to 'city' life :)

Donald was very helpful and even picked us up from the airport. The property is in the centre of Kirkwall but not noisy. Having a parking pass and a space right outside the house was a bonus. Nice surprise to get the breakfast hamper.

The TV was a little tricky to work out (very minor).

Sara was incredible helpful and flexible. She gave us an early check in and a late check out, which was much appreciated! Overall the access and communication was really easy. Super clean and great location. It was a bonus to have some breakfast supplies left for us.

A home from home in the centre of Kirkwall. The owners have thought of everything, including extra toiletries, lovely welcoming hamper and a permit for parking our car directly outside the property.

Nothing really, no where is perfect, but this almost was.

The hosts had a welcome grocery pack, with milk and butter etc. I have to say that due to a ferry cancellation we had to get out of our original accommodation at the end of our stay. Donald and his wife were very helpful at arranging the let at their house. Being in the heart of Kirkwall it is handy for everything. We popped out for evening meals at local restaurants. This holiday let passes the test, we would stay again.

The only thing really was that the kitchen gets very narrow: unless you know each other very well: best if just one person at a time uses it!

Couldn’t be beaten for convenience: just a few steps from the shops and really handy for everything else in Kirkwall. Plus it has its own parking place right outside. Yet it was quiet too. The house was a lot bigger than I expected, nicely presented and well equipped.

It really is hard to say!! We pretty much found it faultless. If I was being hyper critical the only thing for me would be a king size bed in the family bedroom rather than a double.

The property was brilliant. Perfect for a family that wants to stay in Kirkwall. The location was amazing. Everything that Kirkwall had to offer was basically at your fingertips. Walk out the door and your in the town centre. The house was clean and has everything you need. It also has its own car space so you never have to worry about finding a space.

Donald and Sara are fantastic hosts, easy to contact and very accommodating. On the day I was due to check in, my flight was late and the weather had turned. Sara kindly picked me up from the airport.

The hosts were excellent: even though we arrived late in the evening they were there to hand us the key and introduce us to the house. They also had a welcome basket with breakfast ready for us. The house was very comfortable and had all we needed, including a kitchen to cook. Location was just in the middle of Kirkwall and close to the bus station, so excellent to explore Orkney.

Absolutely nothing we didn’t like.

The whole place was really comfortable and well laid out. We settled in really quickly. Beds were incredibly comfortable, very good TV app options and plenty of dishes and kitchen implements. Great location in the town centre just off the main shopping street and very handy for restaurants and bars. This place had a bit of character to it which we really liked.

This is a wonderful place to stay. A home from home! the owners go above and beyond to make your stay as well equipped and comfortable as possible. The facilities are fantastic. We had everything we needed and more! the property has lovely decor and furnishings. the kitchen is so well equipped. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the living room is a lovely family space. The extras provided were very much appreciated, we were travelling with a toddler and owners kindly provided some toys, a travel cot and children’s cutlery / crockery. We really felt so well looked after. You can tell they put so much effort in for their guests. There is a great choice for your technology as a smart TV and fire stick is provided. Lots of cosy bedding and towels etc. The location is excellent and we were provided with a parking permit too which is super. You can walk anywhere around Kirkwall quite easily from the house. Highly recommended!!

The only complaint I have with this property is the downstairs toilet tap. The pressure of the water is very strong and kept flooding the toilet floor each time we used it.

The location of this property is absolutely ideal. perfectly central. saved us needing to get taxis to and from places.

No toast rack or bread knife. No cloth in the kitchen for wiping round. Plenty of towels but would not have used these. These are minor things but thought we’d mention them as you asked!

The house was very centrally located in Kirkwall but very quiet. It was spotlessly clean. All furnishings were of a very high standard and so fresh. The decor was lovely. Linen and towels were of a high quality. Beautifully warm. Would highly recommend.
