Excellent. The facilities exceeded our expectations and we will definitely go there again.

Nothing really. Perhaps a second armchair in the bedroom? Perhaps another towel rail or some hooks in the wetroom as the heated towel rail was too small for 2 jumbo towels and two bath towels and a hand towel that they provided. Perhaps adjusting the tension on the bedroom door-closer as it was really stiff and hard for a wheelchair-user to push/pull it open.

All meals were excellent. Good, fresh ingredients and extensive menu (includes 50 varieties of pie!), well cooked and tasty. They specialise in very large portions of pies, with some veggy alternatives. Served fairly quickly by pleasant & helpful staff. Loads of choice at breakfast time, again well cooked and really hot and tasty. Can't fault them at all. Rooms were exceptionally clean and attractive. Appreciated the wetroom facilities and space in the bedroom to charge my powerchair battery. 2 steps between bedrooms and Bar, but there was an alternative route (via outdoors) and staff said a ramp was available if I preferred the indoor route but I didn't use the ramp. The Bar was attractive, clean and had loads of 'jokey' things to look at or read. Great choice of beers and other drinks. All staff were polite, friendly, really professional and very helpful. For future customers... just note that there isn't a fridge or a phone in the bedroom, although there is a kettle, mugs and loads of tea bags & coffee etc. There is also free wi-fi.

The bed was really uncomfortable, like lying on a board all night so didn't get much sleep.

Lovely location close to village and rail station. Large pub garden with outside eating area as well as a restaurant. The pies were very good! Our room was nice with its own outside seating area.. The staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble for them.

The room smelt like some painting had just been completed and there was a strong smell of gloss paint. The room was smaller than I thought it would be and the layout maybe made it feel so. And looking in some of the other rooms they looked much bigger. There was a lot of doors slamming shut but that was other guest not the inns fault.

Nice friendly greeting. Food was good. Lots of choices. The room was lovely and clean. The staff were polite and friendly.

Whilst having breakfast staff were cleaning and putting up Xmas decorations. Room 6 toilet flush was very stiff and difficult to flush. Paid £190 for room and £90 for a meal with drinks to find out they have offer on in Jan for £175 for a room, meal with wine included.

Staff very friendly and amenable. Pies were spot on, delish, chips lovely, large portions. Good selection of drinks. Lovely quiet location.

We were in the room for disabled people which meant there was no plug in the sink which was very low and small. There was a some background noise from an electric motor which cut in and out (refrigerator?) Staff Said they would look into modifying this.

The access was easy all ground floor, and the English breakfast was excellent. Shower was great. The pie menu for an evening meal looked appetising.
