The hotel breakfast booking requirement seemed odd. We decided to find breakfast elsewhere.

The hotel is in a great location right on the river. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Would stay here again.

Age 13 bed was not made up. Breakfast we were put at a table for 2 people when there were 3 of us and clearly said 2 adults and 1 child age 13 on the booking. Had to ask for an extra bath towel too as only 2 Room was little cold and had to ask for a blanket for daughter

Buffet breakfast was very basic, with a few options available. Due to large tour groups, we were scheduled for a later breakfast sitting. This sounds like an ongoing issue for the hotel, judging by the signs in the lift.

Great location, close to both the train station and the old city of York with all the restaurants, market and shops. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable., and a good size for a hotel. Spacious lounge/bar area overlooking the river to relax in. Helpful and friendly office staff, obliging with extra towels.

Was given a disabled room which was huge - very comfortable. Breakfast great - chef made me some crispy bacon on request. Enjoyed an evening meal at hotel before going to Theatre. Location perfect for station, river, theatre and centre of York.

Decor a bit tired and dated though comfortable.

Great location at the Quayside just over the Ouse Bridge from the main historical sites, shopping, cafes, bars and restaurants. In site parking but you must book in advance. Decent breakfast.

There were a couple of cobwebs and a noisy extractor fan but these weren't issues for us.

The hotel is very well placed for exploring York, and being able to park at the hotel was a godsend. The Hotel was lovely and the staff really friendly and helpful. Our room was nice, on the ground floor and clean apart from a couple of cobwebs in the corner and a rather noisy extractor fan but still very good. the bed was nice and big and comfortable. The food was great, we are really glad we rang the hotel beforehand and enquired about the meals in the restaurant and told about the DBB option - we loved the dinners. A good choice and really tasty and plentiful. We will definitely come back to this hotel when we come up to York next.
