Service wasn't so great when provided by staff rather than th e owners.

Room was clean and comfortable, and was nicely decorated. Bathroom was also a good size which was a welcome surprise. The two owners were very friendly, professional and helpful. Alnouth is a great village in a beautiful location.

It was hard to find parking close to our hotel as the centre of Alnmouth is an extremely popular place throughout the day and into the evening. Alnmouth desperately requires a good car park closer to the village centre.

Room 3 was lovely. Good sitting area to watch TV, excellent bathroom and shower and extremely comfortable king-sized bed. Plenty of options for evening meals within Almouth.

Wish we could've stayed longer!

We first visited the Red Lion Inn for a drink when we visited Alnmouth in 2023, and immediately knew we wanted to stay at the inn! We were attending a wedding nearby and it was the perfect chance to stay here. Check-in was easy and fast, our room was clean and comforting, we were able to book to have dinner in the pub, and we had a delicious breakfast the next morning.

Nothing springs to mind apart from perhaps a non slip shower mat.

Perfect location for exploring Northumberland. So close to the sea & set in a fabulous friendly town. Ben & Georgie were perfect hosts, friendly& helpful yet unobtrusive. Great atmospheric traditional pub for post walk & pre dinner drinks. Excellent breakfast to set us up for the day.Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area or indeed wishing to enjoy a few days relaxing.

Nothing to complain about - just sorry that we were unaware of live music on Sunday afternoon. We would have enjoyed it. Also, pub closes at 6pm on Sunday and no food served in evening. We had to go out and would have preferred to stay in.

Large, modern and very comfortable room with beautiful bathroom. Excellent evening meal and breakfast.

The overnight parking situation in Alnmouth is appalling and stressful. When I booked it on booking.com it came up under the search with free parking so we were disappointed when we arrived and more disappointed after receiving parking tickets. There is little information available about where and when you can park.

The Red Lion Inn is fabulous, lovely room, friendly staff and really great food. The bar with roaring fireplace was very welcoming and an added bonus.

Had trouble getting the gate to open at night, think it’s maybe swollen with the rain but it felt like there was a bolt pulled in the bottom. Weather was terrible so not a good night to try to get in!

Lovely staff and host. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable bed and lovely room. Fluffy towels. Plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits/ water.

The room was beautifully designed with lots of lovely artwork on the walls . The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave it . The place is run by a family and you certainly feel that extra attention to detail and the warmth that they extend to the guests and the community as well . We felt like we became part of the community for a short time .
