Great stay at the Resolution hotel, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the rooms were modern, well maintained and clean. The location is excellent and very central. We would definitely return.

Loved everything, my only suggestion would be to include cocktails on the bar menu.

Everything was superb! The room was stunning and the finish throughout the room and hotel was clearly 5 star. Spa bath and television in the bathroom was a big hit haha! Everything done to such a high standard including the cleanliness and the friendliness of staff. The breakfast was great - option of either a full breakfast, continental breakfast items or even individual dishes like eggs Benedict. So nice to see these options. The best part of all was the evening meal in the hotel restaurant, The Vault. This was superb, 10/10, I honestly wanted to thank the chef. I have thought about the scallop and pork belly starter all week since then! Can’t wait to go back again. The bar is also really gorgeous.

No dressing gowns or robes, while every facility was fantastic - beds, shower, and the room was spotless. My only disheartening thing was coming out the shower to chill laid on the bed without a gown.

Room was amazing. Showers where spotless the friendly staff made it that extra bit more. Food at this place definitely was above expectations. First time I've had a parmo in whitby, and it met high standards! Reception staff were lovely to very helpful and friendly. Couldn't do enough for us very informative and really polite and pleasant.

Unfortunately (due to my own mistake) due to me being in a wheelchair… the location of the hotel is quite high up from the sea front. The hotel itself is very accessible for people with a disability but, the treck back up the back gives you a thirst.

The hotel staff were welcoming and very friendly, chatty and where able to answer any questions we had. The room we stayed in was perfectly decorated, clean and plenty of room to move around (as I am a wheelchair user) the facilities were unreal, the TV in the bathroom with the whirlpool bath. The bed has to be one of the comfiest I’ve ever stayed in while in a hotel!

Received a message from the Resolution confirming our booking and it stated the times breakfast was and that this was include in our booking however when we checked in we had to pay for 2 breakfasts for 2 days ? I told reception when we checked and and again on check out but nothing

Just one small hiccup. Booked for dinner and we were allocated table in lounge area. I think staff overlooked us being there, as we were waiting, nearly half an hour before anyone came to take our order. Previous evenings had been in restaurant area and no waiting

Our room was nice but a bit pokey for the price. No plugs on my side of the bed. Ironing board needed to be assembled. No aircon Hot water was off 1st thing on 1st morning (it was back on by about 9.30am.

Good cooked breakfast to set you up for the day Good evening meal Good decor, some lovely touches. Room had a great view of the Abbey Quiet.

It was so far to park my car from the hotel Also, the hotel was informed that the night away was for our honeymoon.. I was surprised that there was no little gesture Also, no bath robes at the accommodation ? , there were no water bottles in the room .we had glasses but no water

They don't have a car park but offer free street parking in certain areas, but Whitbys a bit of a maze and it's hit and miss if you find one. There is a main car park if you don't mind the walk up the hill

Looked a little deceiving from the outside but fantastic looking hotel on the inside. Staff were excellent and helpful. Comfortable, modern and clean. Nice touch at the reception, looking like it was built out of old suitcases. Bar prices also very reasonable. Excellent breakfast, definitely stop again

Our room was above the side bar entrance, we had opened the window during the night as it was warm, but the next morning staff gathered at that door to smoke so filtered into our room

They use to have a bigger seating area in the bar, now it’s called the vault downstairs not as big, they made the old bar area in to more rooms which I can see why , they will make more money on, I preferred the old bar more spacious

No immediate parking area, but compensated by providing a 2 day Whitby council parking voucher valid in designated streets close by, which worked ok.

Fabulous suite (room 2). Peaceful room with superb fish tank viewed both from the lounge area and bedroom. Excellent restaurant. Lovely staff and very helpful.

I know not many places have it, and it would be impossible to include at this property, but on site parking would have been an advantage.

The building dates from the 18th century but the inside is modern and very clean and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. You need to book the restaurant for dinner but it’s well worth it, the food is excellent.

The fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter overhead. Stale urine smell in the bathroom. The strings for the blinds were hard to reach.

The outside of the hotel could do with a spruce up. Our bed - if you didn’t sleep towards the middle you felt as if you were going to fall off onto the floor.

The staff were all very friendly. From checking in to having a drink in the bar and then breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from. The hotel was modern and rooms were clean and amenities in them were good.
