The most welcoming hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Wonderful atmosphere and such lovely staff. My room was excellent and was very clean and welcoming. Right down to the tea and coffe bags. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was splendid. I loved it. Couldn’t fault it. Thank you sandy duck xx

The aesthetics were gorgeous. Comfortable room, loved that they had daily housekeeping to keep the room looking fresh. Food was out of this world, I can’t recommend it enough. The daily cake was a lovely touch and we made sure we got our daily serving! The staff are all polite and friendly.

Fantastic place to come and stay. The room was fresh and bright with great views over the bay. We had breakfast in bed which was really something. I would highly recommend staying at the sandy duck.

If you have a large car, you might find the parking a bit of a squeeze in a couple of the spaces but it is on site and free, so I'm not complaining

Good location with a quick walk to the beach or to town. Beautiful house, really nicely decorated. The lounge and breakfast room were lovely and well equipped with books, guides and games. My room at the back of the house was peaceful and the bed was very comfortable - I slept really well. There was a good variety of decent teas and fresh milk in the room. Breakfast was good quality - it came out looking like a work of art and tasted as good as it looked. I'd recommend afternoon tea and cake too :-). The staff and my fellow guests during my stay were all lovely

We stayed here for a long weekend, and it was delightful experience from beginning to end. The house is elegant and beautifully furnished, light and airy, and this sets off the fantastic artwork in every room (created by the owner and family we understand). Parking is easy and we were greeted with a warm welcome. The room was extremely comfortable, light and pleasant, with fresh milk, coffee and tea. Lovely bathroom with fabulous shower and soft towels. Breakfast was simply heavenly - fresh, zingy, delicious and healthy with copious quantities of hot coffee/tea. And on top of all of that, the guest lounge - what an indulgence! The weather was foul during our stay and we spent a few hours here every afternoon slumped on the huge sofa in front of a roaring log fire with tea and delicious freshly-made cake supplied to us by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Pure joy! Thank you so much for making our stay so perfect.

Staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Beautiful, luxurious room with massive bed and sew view. Breakfast was delicious. We tried few options from the menu and wasnt disappointed. Location is perfect, very close to the beach. Highly recommend and definitely will go there again in a future

Nothing to dislike.

On arrival we had our bags carried to our room, complimentary homemade delicious cake and tea (which is available throughout our stay). Our room was perfect in every way. Bathroom had robes provided alongside huge and plentiful towels and lovely land and water toiletries. Breakfast was a delight with plenty of choice and beautifully served and presented. The staff are all truly lovely, not intrusive and exude happiness as they work. The Sandy Duck was a gem of a find in a great location and we enjoyed everything.
