A chair to sit on in the room would be useful

A little disappointed to find that on booking.com no breakfast!!! book direct for same price breakfast is included so paid £28 more than we needed to .

Not a complaint but the kitchen closes at 8pm which was tough for us as we arrived just before then - HOWEVER, the manager kindly rang me as soon as she received our booking to let us know this was the case and offered to take our order over the phone which was really kind and gratefully accepted.

Brilliant for family bookings as we could all stay in one room! Really good food and a lovely country pub.

The rooms are bespoke, with tasteful fittings. in fact everything you could want. The food was very good with a good choice of menu plus specials.

The room was spacious and decor to a very good standard. Plenty rooms for the kids, parking right outside. Good pub food in site. In a little lovely country village, close to many site seeing places such as Ripon, Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks

Plastic cups in the room, and at least one easy chair in the room would be nice.

The Spa Gill room is excellent, very modern, clean and with all the facilities to make your stay very comfortable. All the staff were excellent too. Food is great value for money, we really enjoyed the Thursday steak meal, excellent steak, cooked to perfection and a very tasty bottle of red wine.

We were there for a family reunion. The party meal for 17 was excellent with staff waiting on us hand and foot. our room was perfect for my disabled husband with wet room facilities.

this place really exceeded my expectations based on what might be available in a pub in a small village in the Yorkshire dales ! very good staff service even over Xmas period . excellent food . well equipped and comfortable bedrooms . car parking 20 yards from room .

Lovely room and friendly staff member showed us to it - we were attending a wedding reception so didn’t eat in the pub so can’t comment on anything other than the room - gorgeous bathroom - very comfortable bed and beautiful decor

The kettle was broken which we didn’t discover until the morning, the previous occupants must have damaged it and not reported it.

The room was really clean and comfortable and beautifully designed. Even had a little courtyard to sit outside with a coffee first thing. The team were also both understanding and supportive of my request to socially distance due to my husband's poor immune system, allowing me to have food in my room versus the pub with no fuss or rolled eyes! The area around is also stunning. Wish I'd been able to stay for longer.

poor communication between staff. booked breakfast for 8.30am and wasn’t open til 9am? also paid for breakfast but it wasn’t recorded prior so was asked to pay again . evening staffs mistake nor the lovley lady who eventually let us into the building for breakfast

Beautiful quiet village location with easy car travel to several attractions: eg Brimham Rocks, Forbidden Corner, several waterfalls, Knaresborough historic town. Staff went above and beyond to make our family comfortable and the chef made a special off-menu veggie dish on request. Fabulous high-spec good size room with character and view across the fields, far better than the usual boring urban chain hotel rooms.

No Shower cap in room, not a problem as I had one. Biscuits on tea tray minimal

Didn’t take breakfast, little choice and times not convenient. Surprised it was not included, even a continental.
