The scaffolding and the homeless person at the back entrance. I am aware it has been like that for some time and there is not much you can do however it did make us feel uneasy especially at night!

The location is wonderful, central but quiet.

The only letdown at this beautiful hotel was the food was not that good. I was presented with a lemon in muslin netting that didn’t have any juice when I squeezed it, and when I opened up the muslin to see if it was the fabric, I found the lemon had totally dried up and at the stage where it had nearly gone off. Even when this was happily replaced, it should never have been served to me by a professional kitchen at a top London hotel. The poached eggs at breakfast also had white liquid oozing out, basically raw / not cooked well. When pointed out, the man in the suit told me that I should know not to order poached, and to order hard cooked next time LOL!!! The kitchen just did not seem very good. Whenever I made any simple special requests, such as asking for the juice of half a lemon in warm water, or when asking for no chilli in the ribs, the kitchen did not and could not accomodate these basic, simple special requests at all.

Thanks to Alessandra at the front desk for her fantastic service and hospitality. The room she moved us to was outstanding. The bed, toiletries, towels, slippers, everything was superb quality. Housekeeping staff were absolutely fantastic, and so was bartender Luigi at the American Bar. Alessandra and Mandy at reception, and also the man at reception on the day I checked out, were all fantastic. Basically mostly everyone was fab, and the concierge guys are as usual absolutely fantastic, especially the man in the bowler hat (sorry did not get a chance to ask for his name) is such a lovely man. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

I tried to go to the bar and a girl from the staff was very rude and demanded I left cause there was no room for me to sit where there was plenty of room around. She later apologized but she made me and my family feel very unwelcome.

The Stafford is 5 star in every way. Service, location, facilities. Cannot fault this hotel. It’s well managed and a fantastic place.

I dislike hotels added service charges on to the overall bill. Especially when they do not mention at check-out that they are doing so, when asking if you want the bill now or not. I had it emailed, so only discovered the additional charge after I had left.

The Stafford is a traditional, high-quality central London hotel. With prices to match. If you want to be transported back in time and made to feel special, this is a good place to stay.

The Hotel is just in the middle of London. So easy to reach the tube station. The Hotel was very clean and all stuff were friendly. One of the best in town.

I did not like breakfast. We had to wait to be seated every day up to 30 minutes on Saturday and waited to our orders another 30 minutes. The buffet is extremely limited in choices.

A magnificent hotel in the heart of the St.James' area of London.In a great location with Green Park tube station less than a 5 minute walk away,if you're using public transport as I was. The hotel itself oozes class and the spacious room I was lucky enough to have was absolutely perfect,the bathroom was beautiful and the Penhaligons toiletries were fantastic. I genuinely couldn't fault the hotel at all.Beautiful,quiet,classy.

The rooms were very well presented, and the staff were very accommodating. The American Bar was also a little oasis of calm in the very busy city, it was lovely to come back there and relax with drinks and snacks...

Tucked away but in the heart of St James’s, a little alley leads straight into Green Park and the underground station. The welcome was as expected from a 5 star hotel, I arrived early and my room was ready which was a bonus. The room was very comfortable. Unfortunately I didn’t get to sample the restaurant or bar as I was there to see friends but next time I definitely will.
