Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomReception was in a weird place and very, very dark. We had to walk through the bar and restaurant to find it. The corridors were really dark too. It is a very modern hotel with lots of modern designs and gadgets which were great. But, the whole hotel felt like it had no soul. (Btw, this is just a personal opinion and no reflection on the hotel. I think I am more of a shabby chic type hotel person). The cups in the bedroom were the size of a small coffee cup - not good for someone who drinks a lot of tea. Breakfast was lovely but a service charge was added. I've been travelling for years and that has never happened before.
Great location, right in the heart of Stratford. Easy to get to Queen Elizabeth Park, Westfield Shopping Centre and Stratford station/tube. Excellent staff, all extremely helpful; nothing was too much trouble. Lovely breakfast. I had the full English which was delicious. It did not taste like it had been fried at all and was very light to eat. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I got a really good night's sleep. Btw, I remember Stratford in the 80s when I lived in Essex and its lovely to see all the re-generation and growth in this area.

United KingdomThe shower could have been a little more powerful but London is a hard water area so this is a challenge and the shower was still good. Shower amenities are now Rituals. Unfortunately, the shampoo and conditioner were not very good and there wasn't any body moisturiser which you would usually expect available when toiletries are advertised as included. But these are small points and didn't detract from my stay.
Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff in reception and in the bar and restaurant areas. Nice lounge/lobby area, good drinks, nice food and welcoming space to relax or work in. Comfortable and well laid out rooms. Close to Stratford station and Westfield shopping centre. This was a return visit as an overnight treat as I live locally and I would definitely stay again.

United KingdomBreakfast disappointed. £20 big breakfast allows access to buffet and a main course - buffet had no healthy cereal options (no muesli or Granola or prepared fruit). Decaf coffee took ages to arrive - when it did it was served Luke warm in a small cup. Quality of cooked breakfast not great.
Lovely clean modern building. Absolutely sound proof which is great as next to railway line. Staff friendly. Room adequately accessorized though no thought for placing mirror near chair for make up purposes. Nice shower and good to be trusted with bath products, though lacked body lotion and flannels.
