How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A good knife for cooking would be helpful.

Location was amazing, one block to the beach and lots of restaurants very close by. Lovely being met on arrival, unit was of a high standard, very clean and comfortable.

With it being a bottom flat, there was no getting away from any movement upstairs and my dog was rather restless being away from home and barked as he would do being a semi-guard dog but this would not deter me from booking again
Location is superb for the local amenities / bars / restaurants etc and the allowed parking was literally around the corner 20m away.

Nothing in particular, the only issue we had was that, there seemed to be a problem with the drains, the water seemed to glug loudly and now and again there was a smell everytime we washed up.
The location was perfect, it's a ground level apartment a short walk to the beach front and on the main street. Also a short distance from the bus stops.

Unfortunately extremely loud banging from 5 pm till 11 pm from apartment upstairs, and same next day! Sounded like big daddy and giant haystacks on there jollys.
Location fab Carl the owner sorted a parking space for me.

Clean, tidy and spacious. Great facilities in the property, shower was great and place was clean. A parking spot was reserved for us which was great as we had a baby with us. Milk and fruit provided which added a nice little touch. Host was very personable and attentive. Great location as well!

great location at the top of the Main Street and near to all the good bars and restaurants. The apartment had all the necessary kitchen appliances and equipment. Carl, our host was excellent and responsive to our needs and arranged free, secure parking within 2 minutes walk from the apartment. we enjoyed our 4 night stay and highly recommend this property

Liked everything.
We liked the central location. The private parking was a big bonus as parking at a premium in Llandudno. Although we were self-catering there were plenty of eating and drinking places within a very short walk away. The host met us and was absolutely fantastic. We would definately stay again.

everything you needed provided for your stay, Carl was amazing and nothing was too much trouble, even down to reserving a free parking spot for you for the duration of your stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like, however a little hoover to use would be a great help, especially if travelling with a pet.
The Apartment is in a fantastic location within the town centre, it’s tastefully decorated and well appointed with everything you’ll need for your stay. The host Carl is a genuinely lovely guy who goes above and beyond to make your stay as perfect as possible, such a personal touch really does make all the difference. Will definitely be back for another stay!

Excellent finish to the apartment. So much higher than your regular holiday let apartments. Just the right size for a man on his own, or for a couple looking for that private getaway. Location was first class, being just two minutes walk from a full range of eateries, though with enough privacy for things like safety and security. The bedroom and shower room were very tastefully finished off by someone with obvious good taste.
