Due to staff shortages the breakfast started a lot later than advertised which did delay out day slightly. The vent fan in the bathroom was very noisy - I think the fan was rubbing on the ducting. The watering system outside is not angled correctly and waters the window! Finally the aircon had been left on so when we arrived the room was really cold!

I booked as there was breakfast included as it was a stop gap for a larger trip. They didn’t provide breakfast, nor make any amendment to the fee. They told me they would provide some cereal, but they didn’t. Had to walk through the pub to my room all the time as well which just felt embarrassing.

I have had the breakfast before and it is excellent. For dinner though, you should book and pre order as sometimes food is not always available and the menu becomes a little restricted. Our chef was ill on the night we stayed so we were given some local recommendations.

We have stayed here before, for work and continue to come back here. The location is great as it is easy to travel to and from. The staff are always friendly and informative. The rooms are wonderful. Comfortable and light, excellent bed and linen. Great choice of toiletries and fluffy towels. A bottle of water, local biscuits, coffee machine and a large selection of teas and hot chocolate. A good bar downstairs with a great selection of drinks and a nice beer garden to sit in the sunshine.

Two sharing twin room. Another stand for small case would be useful as had to store our stuff in Case. A mirror over table useful as no where to see in a mirror to blow dry hair. A mirror near a plug would be so helpful. No hot breakfast available and very limited continental.

As previously stated, match nights aren't great for non football fans staying at the pub.

Room was clean and comfortable with everything you need. Breakfast was good, but didn't see any evidence of a buffet breakfast to help self as stated at top of the menu. Don't try and have a meal on a night when Bristol Rovers are at home, even if a guest staying at the place you won't get a table until all supporters have left the place, and then the menu is very restricted on match nights. had I been told this I would have made arrangements earlier in the evening to go elsewhere.

Unfortunately the food didn’t really suit our tastes, but we appreciate that not everyone’s taste is the same.

The room we were allocated (1) was very comfortable and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The location for our purposes (visiting relatives nearby) was great for us. It was good to have parking. It is only a small area but we were happy to be able to park so we didn’t need to use the car while we were there. We loved the super size bath towels 😁 The staff.

My only issue was the stairs. It’s an old building with 19 stairs I think in each flight and I had to go up two flights. I’m in my seventies but managed and the lovely staff carried my luggage for me.

I had a lovely room on the top floor of this traditional pub with food , pool table , smart en-suite bedroom with tv, tea and nice coffee machine and good biscuits.

I did not expect a pub and on a very vibrant Quiz Night, but after we settled in, the people were friendly and we chatted to others about Bristol. The tannoy was a bit loud, but that was to be expected for such a buzzing place.

The pub was very busy but I understood that before I booked. The pub is in a good location and parking is difficult on match days after the finish of play. Staff understand and do their very best to help.

The pub was very busy with a Bristol Rangers and Rugby Match. The staff were very busy and still managed to be welcoming. Parking was difficult but staff helped ease the congestion. The room was warm and clean. It was noisy until 11 pm and then was quiet. Breakfast was lovely. Excellent staff who work very hard.
