We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomVery poor vegan breakfast. I pre-paid for breakfast, emailing beforehand, and informing staff in person on arrival. There was very little understanding of what vegan meant. There was soya milk available, but that is it, not even vegan margerine for toast.. My cooked breakfast consisted of two small hash browns, a tablespoon of beans, and a tablespoon of tomatoes. My advice: pay the cheapest room rate and go to Wetherspoons for breakfast if you ate vegan. My husband's meat breakfast was good value.
Location - short walk to town centre. Nicely surprised that Ripon had some interesting things to see. Bathroom was very large. Macerating toilet was noisy. We could hear the adjoining room in the night.

United KingdomThe room was nice but the carpet around the edges could have been a bit cleaner and there was no TV remote (but after mentioning that to the staff we understood why).
The hospitality of the staff was tremendous, walking distance to the centre of Ripon and also the bus station where they have a free shuttle bus to Ripon races. The Room and bathroom were spacious and quiet. The breakfast was very nice, with a choice of cereal and orange juice before your full English breakfast. I really enjoyed the sausages.

United KingdomPerhaps a bit further from the centre than I expected. I had hoped to walk to the cathedral from there but it was too far for an easy walk.
We had a warm, helpful reception. It was easy to park the car on the premises although there were not many spaces. We had a large room in the converted stables in the courtyard and had a large, clean bathroom. Breakfast was cooked to order. We enjoyed our one night stay there. It is an historic inn which has been recently decorated in an attractive manner.

Location, breakfast excellent and freshly cooked. Very peaceful. Very handy for centre of Ripon so we didn't need the car. Would definitely return.

United KingdomThe room itself felt a little sad. I'd say it was the colour. It could look brighter if it had white walls and a couple of pictures instead of grey/green with the TV being the focal point. I suspect it may be cold in winter as there was a plug-in heater.
Met by efficient, friendly staff as soon as we walked in. New, good sized bathroom. Good walking distance to cathedral and restaurants.

United KingdomThe landlord. The rooms are on the second floor which was a bit of a struggle for my tired old legs at the end of the day.
Ripon is a beautiful place to visit and the White Horse is well located in a central position. Our room was quiet. The bathroom was large and everything was spotlessly clean. The lady who served breakfast on our first morning was friendly, cheerful and very helpful.

AustraliaCourtyard needs cleaning. Cigarette butts and bits of paper rubbish floating around. Very limited parking. Ended up parking our hire car on the street which wasn’t great. Could only get the shower to be scalding or freezing.
Room was clean and warm and enough space for three people. Hearty breakfast. Older man serving could be more friendly. Oddly they’d seated us at a larger table do that, if we’d sat there, we’d have shared either another couple. We’d assumed the large table was for 6 so sat at the nearby one which was half set up for 3. This was apparently an issue. Odd.
