Bedroom did smell of previous customer's smoking. Room very light as left bedroom door to hall open to air room so woke up earlier than wished.

Great location. Free parking. Great breakfast. Welcoming staff. Very well taken care of. Super clean. Very quiet. Definitely worth staying here . Highly recommend

Some noise at night made it up from the pub below and my room was overlooking the road, meaning traffic noise from the local boy racers did intrude a bit. My ear plugs proved their worth and allowed me a good night's sleep.

I was booked in for two nights as part of a bellringing tour in the area. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially at breakfast and accommodating of the large group I was in. My newly refurbished room was clean and very comfortable with a big bathroom.

Bar area and carpark let this accommodation down, parking can be difficult at cirtain times as customers using the Pub also park thier cars in this limited space, blocking entrance and exit.

Pub noise on Sat night went on longer than anticipated. Maybe a party do noise until about 1am.

The shower in the bedroom definjtely needs replacing. Difficult to get the temperature just right, and the doors leak.

Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast, but with a good choice and beautifully cooked, The dining room had been decorated since my last stay and was very light and pleasant.

It was a bit expensive for what I thought the room was very small as we stopped in the renovated stables but he ho it is what it is I suppose they have bigger rooms for next time 👍

Very welcoming , Sam was so helpful in the morning with the breakfast , going above and beyond each morning . The courtyard where I stayed was pleasant to sit in after a day of sight seeing , the room had everything needed and I was told if I needed anything just ask .

There was an extra fee of £10 for our dog, but worth it as the room was of a good size to accommodate the dog basket etc.

Great accommodation, ideal for travelling with a dog, Rooms were around a sunny courtyard with off street parking. Another bonas as in the centre of Ripon. Breakfast was excellent with very generous portions, and the staff all very friendly.

The rooms were at the top of three flights of stairs .which proved a bit difficult for two of us .probably my fault for not stating two of our party were in their 70s and had difficulty with stairs when i booked

The shower in room 2 wasn’t on originally, however, cheerful help was forthcoming immediately I mentioned it. Unfortunately the shower turned out to be either lukewarm when set on low, or red hot/very cold, on high. Fan string needs renewing, as broken, too. But not the end of the world, after all. I’d still go back.

Very nice and welcoming people. We were only there to sleep, really, and it fitted the bill very well. Good beds. Very nice typical English breakfast, with extremely helpful and cheerful staff. No fancy extras, but who needs them? We’d stay there again. Only a very few minutes walk from Ripon Square, where there are lots of restaurants, cafes, and a tapas bar (which is really excellent). Cash point inside Sainsbury’s, which is through, and further through an opening in square, and not well signposted. Ripon is a bit noisy with traffic during day, but much quieter at night, although there seems to be a good social life. Cathedral worth visiting. Fountains Abbey (National Trust) definitely worth the few minutes’ driving, as really beautiful.

room maintance...toilet seat very loose and didnt fit the china properly......plug sockets in the wrong place....had to put the kettle on the floof for the cable to reach......heated towl rail and radiator didnt work....had to dry wet motorcycling kit on electric heater.....not the safest option.

Great accommodation in good location for visiting the lovely historic city of Ripon. Lovely friendly staff, tasty breakfast and a great pint of Tetley!

Only a small thing but the window blind in room 10 had a section missing so people could look in. wasn’t a big problem and we fixed that by placing a bin in front of the missing piece. Forgot to tell the owners in the morning so like I said not a big deal😃

Location and the breakfast was lovely. Free parking was good. The pub was clean and looks like it’s had a recent refurbishment
