Meals are an issue. If you want to eat before 8pm (families etc) you have to book even if the restaurant is nearly empty. This wouldn’t be a problem if you were informed on check-in. Also whilst the renovation is ongoing (not intrusive to be fair) they are feeding the contractors. But if you arrive for breakfast at 9:30 (served till 10) they’ve let them ransack the buffet and won’t restock it!!! But once you’ve learned these tricks the food is good!!!

The location is outstanding and views are immense. Plenty of car parking and the leisure facilities are a bonus.

We came back due to the table tennis but this time there wa's no table tennis. Maybe this could be reinstated as our grandchildren were looking forward to it, however, this did not retract a lot from the stay.

We like the leisure facilities for the grandchildren. The golf and tennis.

Spacious room with great views. Perfect room for us as a family as we had a separate area for our daughter. Super comfy bed and a great shower! Lovely garden and grounds as well and dog friendly. Also great hot tub and pool!

The first day the shower was foke but then the morning of us leaving we had no hot water to have a shower it was freezing and when we told staff they didn't say or do anything about it

The building was on the older side and some of the interior seemed quite outdated. It was also on the more expensive end of things all things considered.

It was a good location in the Lakes, we stayed for a wedding down the road. The members of staff were all super helpful and friendly. Can’t fault the service at all. The breakfast also had a good variety, though was a bit greasy

The shower was quite mouldy. We had to clean the head before we used it. This put us off a bit. There were a lot of building materials around the hotel, like full packs of timber and plasterboard .

The bed was very uncomfortable leaving me with back pain can tell they use budget mattresses and don't renew them very often if it at all.

I thought it was a best Western Hotel when booked. It had been sold to new owners so was having some work done. Also windows on outside of room in need of cleaning as well as some others around the property.

There could have been nuts/seeds to go with oats and yoghurts at breakfast. Some aspects of the hotel were a little outdated but you could see further renovations are under way.

Pool, gym, Sauna. Dog friendly. Helpful professional staff. Breakfast was perfect, lots of continental choices and first morning additional hot food was cooked to order, the second morning, served from a buffet cart, it was hot and well presented. Very attentive staff who answered all our questions, met our needs as a family with a dog. Lots of wildlife in the well kept gardens, even a hare sauntering around the car park!
